Tomlin should have been fired when he was depantsed in last afc champ game.

Tomlin is an absolute dinosaur in today's game. Completely outclassed. Needs to have excellent coordinators, but we have Canada and Austin. Look for Ben Johnson (Lions) or Bienemy next offseason for HC. I don't think the organization has the balls to drop Tomlin, but we wont be actually competitive until we do.

We can blame idiots like Tomlin, Austin, and Canada all we want, but at the end of the day, the buck stops with the Rooneys. The current iteration seems content with allowing their forebearers' storied franchise to be driven into the ground - and it's just incredibly sad to see.

Yes the team is stale and has been for some time. I believe its time to start over, hire an offensive minded coach. Tomlin has been here long enough. He will land somewhere else or take his word salad and cliche's to a pre game show.

He has had his time but the arrow has been pointing down. Unfortunately the owner only worries about the Benjamin's. I feel Khan and Weidl could find an up and comer.

Didn't Weidl and Kahn put this o-line together? If so not impressed ... I agree abt Tomlin he should have been let go or leave on his own a few years ago .......... at the very least

    true

The biggest problem I have with the Steelers and Tomlin is that they are too far behind the curve in the NFL

Under Cowher, they were ahead of the curve during their time, especially on defense when we could have players like Aaron Smith and Joey Porter in the late round because the Steelers were one of the few teams with a 3-4 defense

For the record, it's delusional, not dillusional.

That said, I kind of like "dillusional" tho, since it tracks with Tomlin constantly putting the team into a pickle - and, of course, in the immortal words of Beavis & Butthead, his most obnoxious defenders tend to be dill-holes.

They brought in Seumalo and Herbig and drafted Jones.

Yes Seumalo has been a bit of a disappointment, Herbigs first start today and Jones was brought in late to the game. The rest were already here. All in all this offensive line has regressed.

I don't care if Tomlin won a Super Bowl, those players he won a Super Bowl with were all coached up by Bill Cowher who actually knew how to coach.

    Tomlin has grown stale

On the plus side, at this rate, we might get a top 10 draft pick for the first time in like 20 years. This team is seriously LONG overdue for a disaster of a season.

I wwould go so far as to say that Tomlin's perpetual .500 or better seasons have ultimately been to a massive detriment to the team in terms of being able to, at least on occasion, effectively reload the team with some top prospects.

I don't think a top 10 pick will happen...Even if they are awful, they are at 2-2 right now and they always win the game who are close and it inflate their record big time.....They were a awful team on both side of the ball since 2021 and still not close to have a top 10 pick and I am not sure it will change right now

Gosh, a man can dream, can't he? I can't believe I'm actually secretly praying for an absolutely embarrassingly horrible season record, but that's where we're at. And if it it would help get Tomlin fired, then I'm even more about it.

I wanted him gone after the 2017 and 2018 debacles. For a couple of years after that I was thinking…. “well, maybe we can win with him with the right players and assistants….” He’s gradually losing any remaining respect I had for him as a coach though. I’m having a really hard time seeing a pathway back to the promised land with him at the helm.

My Gad, this is so sad cuz it’s true. Well on our next win and his presser we should hear a litany of how great a coach he is. Rich Eisen, that power house of a football mind, will spend an entire morning utterly transfixed by the Tomlin presser.
