That is just an inexcusable mistake by the defense. They have to make that tackle. Fitzpatrick was in perfect position and just whiffed.

They missed a tackle on the screen on the next play, too.

 

I was pulling for Canada to be fired mid-season. Heck, he needs to be fired at halftime.

Every route the D knows. Look at the WR. Their DBs run the route for our WR. Everyone in league knows what we are doing. They even said it last year multiple times

I thought week 1 was bad, but that’s the worst half of Steelers football I’ve watched in awhile. Horrible all the way around.

I know you’ve said that, but you seem reluctant to criticize him for their offensive failures. It always seems to be the players who are at fault and not Canada. Maybe you just like to argue. Can we agree that Canada’s play calling is abysmal AND that the players are not executing well (primarily because of the abysmal gameplanning and playcalling IMHO).

 

Yup. The Steelers aren't giving him anything easy. The one time they had someone wide open for a big play, the line didn't give Pickett enough time to get it there.

I'm not sure what benching him would accomplish. With the exception of the underthrown ball to Austin, what exactly do you put on the quarterback?
