I doubt any team is going to ever win a game when the opponent returns two interceptions and one fumble for touchdowns. Wasn't it also a fumble by Maddox that was returned for a touchdown? I remember that I didn't watch that one because I was flying somewhere, which ended up being a good thing.

To be fair to Cowher and Maddox, that team gave us one of the great playoff victories the team has had since the turn of the century, rallying from a big deficit to beat the Browns. Then they lost to the Titans in overtime in the next round.

 

They got jobbed in the titans game with a BS penalty on a fg at the end as well.

Every coach losses to inferior teams, it's sports. Tomlin's list is larger than Cowhers. that's for damn sure.

Back to the original point, the one you are trying to cover by attacking my careless error. No Austin was not as open. Also, Pickett had a pass rusher in his face when he made that throw. Stroud made about as easy of a throw as he will ever have in the NFL. Sure, it's good that he didn't screw it up, but that's a throw that every that even Zach Wilson could probably make.

 

No, he was "grade school open!" Who cares, he found him. Was Kenny's finding Austin open any less open? Why is his TD not scrutinized then? By the time Kenny played 3 games he had 4 interceptions, Stroud has ZERO. Any difference you see there?

 

You said it didn't matter, implying that there was no difference between the two plays. That was clearly wrong to anybody who has watched both plays. Also, we had posters claiming that Pickett couldn't throw deep, which was quickly proven wrong.

I see a three-game sample size. Other than the fact that they are playing against one another, I don't see why we are bothering to compare them at all. Were you one of those fools who thought the Steelers should have passed on a quarterback they liked, Pickett, in the hopes that they could end up with one of the top two picks in the draft the following season? It wasn't going to happen. They weren't going to get Stroud or Young.

I respect the guy big time. He knows NFL way more then me and actually has made me look knowledgeable at my Club. I steal his ideas.

 

In the 12 years or so I have been on this board I remember 3 totally inappropriate comments that really deserved discipline. Two of them are the ones you note. One happened two or three years ago in October and were aimed at my wife. I politely asked for an apology 3 times. Then I made it a mission to get him banned. I figured he was of low intelligence so I continually subtly egged him on until after about 6 weeks he went totally ape **** ballistic on me. And poof he was gone.

And all was good in the universe.

 

I don't mind the takes, they are usually pretty thought out and he certainly has a solid knowledge of the game. I definitely find myself agreeing or understanding a lot of what he puts out.

My issue with scribe is with who he is as a person. I super don't like the way he treats people. He's a miserable human to interact with for absolutely no reason. Super sensitive/insecure, unwilling to admit being wrong or see through any other lens, ALWAYS speaks down to people. I think a lot of the "hate" he gets would tend to go away if he simply attempted to be a decent person.

It would be hard not to notice since we interact quite a bit. Not that myself, or anyone else here for that matter, is special... but its kinda hard to believe that. Its whatever. It bothers me more when you do it to others instead since most of the people here are generally friendly and easy to get along with and likeable. It is what it is I guess.\
