KP NUMBERS THROUGH 3 GAMES

He simply put up his numbers and said there's still room for improvement. There are a whole lot of worse things being said about KP on here.

 

He then pivoted to Watt when someone showed Kenny's 9-3 record. Agree that there's much worse, but there are some really petty a-holes running around here but it's no surprise that people sit at their computer with their hand down their pants and say "he sucks!" Easy to do. Easy way out.

I've been supportive of Pickett, but even I wrote that it might be time to bench him early in the game last night. Of course, he threw the long touchdown pass to Austin on the next drive, thus proving I have magical hex powers.

After the touchdown, I wrote that I was hopeful that throwing a touchdown pass and doing it with a perfect throw might actually help get him going. He played better after that than the first couple of drives. Yes, it was against a mediocre defense, but after the disastrous start to his season, a small step in the right direction is a good thing.

 

Roethlisberger took over at quarterback for a team with an outstanding offensive line and a power-running game with Bettis and Staley. The current team has a leaky offensive line and an inconsistent running game. I've pointed out before that Roethlisberger didn't throw more than 28 passes in a regular-season game until well into his second season. He didn't attempt 50 until his third season. Pickett got stuck doing that in his very first start.

I'm not expecting Pickett to be as good as Roethlisberger, but he has been put in a much more difficult situation.

From the moment I saw the thread title, I knew that it was just another thread bashing Pickett. Since he had a strong game Sunday night, you put the focus on his season statistics. At least you seem to be backing off after realizing that was a poor take.

 

It is an extreme, just like the other extreme where the Goldb**ch seems to worship the jock strap that KP wore in college. Some good some bad. Some head scratchers and some amazing throws. We were spoiled with Ben. Hopefully KP keeps improving and putting up more W's than L's. Time will tell and nothing wrong with having a little skepticism to go along with some hope.

Did I once say that i want KP to fail? If I did please point it out to me. You guys probably argue with your tv when they say something bad or actually show KPs numbers SMH! Facts are facts, btw the earth is round and not flat

I want to know personally as to why fans cannot have either while praising Kenny after a much needed, career game?!


Kenny still has much to prove but to say last night wasn't a major step in the right direction for his 2023 Season simply isn't true.

The 2004 team was a veteran team full of players with playoff experience and players who won in the playoffs in '01 and '02. Ben Roethlisberger was one of the final pieces to a Super Bowl caliber roster. Heath Miller and Bryant McFadden additions put us over the top.

Troy Polamalu and Ike Taylor were decent draft picks in '03, too.

Duce Staley and Jerome Bettis was the best RB combo since Harris, Blieir & Morris, Pegram.

On the plus side: apparently, you need two hands.

 

Hardly petty discussing issues a player is having.

 

He played two of the best Ds in the league the first two weeks. Not many QBs are going to look great against SF and Cleveland.

He looked better last week, but not amazing.

The bigger concern for me is still the OL. Both tackles look awful, as does Cole. Pickett doesn’t have a lot of time to throw and you can see he’s got happy feet now as a result.

 

No. Football is a team game. If we put up 40 points on offense, but our defense looks like Denver's did against Miami.... then we still lose the game by 30! Both sides play a part in winning.

Loved Letterman. Use to record cause no way I could stay up that late. I still have some of his shows on VHS tapes and could be one of that last humans that still owns a VHS player.
