I just wanted to post this thread title, but Houston beating Jacksonville in Jacksonville makes me think, hmmm? What I had as a win in my season prediction may not be a win. Tomlin seems to always have 3-5 game streaks, wins or losses, so maybe he is in the middle of one of those winning streaks.

Dolphins-Bills will be the national game at noon Sunday, so most of the country will not be watching the Steelers-Houston.

I just checked and CBS in my area is not even showing any game at 1 PM. Fox is showing the bungles and titans at 1 PM. I figured that it wouldn't be shown so its off to my local watering hole.

Gonna have to go to a bar to watch Sunday and I so hate that.

I said we'd be 3-1 in the showdown with Ravens but I also said they'd be 4-0. So glad to be wrong there. Houston beating Jags has me a tad bit worried but it seems I'm wrong about Lawrence and the Jags being beast this season.

That sucks balls!! Fly to Burgh then have to fly to Houston. It would have been kind of Houston to put our boys up for the week;) Hell, they seem like a wealthy city.

Which stands to reason why anyone would pay ridiculous cable prices when they can subscribe to the likes of paramount, peacock, or Hulu for a few bucks a month.

Texans have some players on offense. That game will definitely not be the easy one I was hoping for. Let's hope Stroud has his "welcome to the NFL" humbling game Sunday.

Maybe they just landed in KC to hang out with Kelce and Taylor Swift.

    Agree with the OP.

Hell, even coming in, I had Houston as a Dark Horse Divisional Winner as my biggest questions with the Jacksonville Jaguars were their ability not just pass protect but also generate pressure. They have roughly the latter figured out. The former?! Even with the money spent on that side, still not good enough.

As for Houston?! Jesus man... Nick Caserio (General Manager of the Texans) .... take a bow. Finding the guy at EDGE is one thing. Finding the guy at QB is another. Finding both in the same draft?! Jesus man. Now granted, CJ Stroud has not faced a Defense like the Steelers but to say he has not been impressive since starting is simply untrue. Dude went into TIAA Bank Field and gave Trevor Lawrence a whoopin!!!

That 70 point beatdown Miami gave should be greatly discussed... and rightfully so. However, if you are a Jags fan, how the hell are you feeling after seeing a QB whom many had touted as "the next one" get his ass kicked by a QB who hails from a College Program that has a very poor record of producing great NFL QBs?!

I liked Stroud the best out of this QB class, not sold on Bryce Young at his size being able to hold up for an NFL season.

    Same here.

For that matter, among the QBs I thought Frank Reich would select... CJ Stroud would have been his top choice. He has had success working with bigger, more toolsy QB's in the past. Going in the Bryce Young direction was interesting to say the least.

This all said, I am not giving up Bryce Young at all. Still way too early of course. Even so, Carolina might want to double up on Offensive Line help come the 2024 Draft!! Luckily for them... say hello to one of the best OT Classes in some time! :drinks:

It is still early in his rookie year, but Stroud may finally put the OSU qb jinx to rest, he has really played well.

    I hope he does!!

Ohio State has produced some stellar players over the years. That said, the QB position is the one position that sadly has not successfully translated to the NFL Level. With any luck, Stroud can be the first.

I've been saying before We drafted KFP....I thought Stroud would be the best Qb to come out of Ohio State since I can remember. I actually wanted Him here.., but let's make Him take a step back this week.

Well... this is the toughest Defense Stroud will face thus far!

Now granted... Baltimore has rock solid pieces but does not have nearly as much ability to generate pressure quite like the Steelers do; doubly so for Jacksonville. In addition, Derek Stingley Jr is out for them as he is on IR. Offensive Game Plan should be to target both George Pickens and Calvin Austin the Third early and often. Why did I discuss the Offense first?!

Score fast then tee off on Stroud.
