Steelers had a 16-point lead, possession of the ball, and less than 1/4 to go. Why is it that my gut tells me that we can still lose this thing and I believe it so much?

Not choosing sides by no means, but he was as close to sucking as he could be. But maybe changes to their blocking scheme can and have opened up some play calling options.
I say this all the time as fans we cannot pinpoint the problems, there is a lot going on behind the scenes we don’t know about.
We only criticize what we see. Saying that we often are wrong especially me! Lol
