More than likely he will get a third year. However, if he continues to show no progression from year 1 to 2 that will probably change.

 

You don’t see many coaches being fired during the season anywhere. Most firings happen on ‘Black Monday’. I know it has happened but it is not common practice.

If we did fire Canada during this season, the new OC won’t be putting in a new scheme on the fly. He’ll be running the same scheme with the same players. At best, the situational playcalling will improve.

I was surprised when Canada was kept at the end of last season. But this is who we are for now.

 

Qb craps the bed for two games, fire the coaches

 

I don’t know if I would fire a coach due to QB play, but our situational football play calling has been JV and very questionable at best.

It is absolutely clear to me the Steelers and the Browns both need better play callers after that game.

As for the QB, Kenny has not been able to hit crossing routes in the NFL. His accuracy on those is terrible. Is it vision, feet, just don’t run them in practice? I don’t know if he’s ever been good at those. He did find Pickens and CA3 downfield a bunch though.

 

Oh just stop . Please spare us with the low hanging fruit blame the playcalling and scheme. The plays have been there to be made and Kenny has choked. It’s not all on Kenny, but he shoulders far more of the blame over two weeks than anyone else

I credit that win to chub getting hurt. If he doesn't get hurt they are 0-2... I know I know it's and buts and all that. Did that team look very prepared on Monday?

 

That win was simply because Chubb got hurt. A fluke play won that game for Steelers.

Steelers are 1-1... a winning season and meeting team standards. They will fluke their way 9-8 or 8-8-1 and all is good in Steeler land.

Kenny is a first round pick. He will play at least 3 more seasons after this one. The fat punter and Edmunds and Bush and many other busts have played for a loooong time even though they sucked - that is the way.

We can’t judge Pickett until he gets a real OC in my opinion Tomlin screwed him I don’t get it all reports indicate that the coaches can’t stand Canada why would Tomlin retain him

 

I would say if it continues like this until the bye week meaning single digit first downs and 6 points per game of offense he’s out.

Give me a break. Its not like this is the first time in the Canada era that the offense blows. It has sucked for 2 years and 2 games. We never score more than 20 and can only win if d is amazing and gets turnovers. The rams have rebuilt their o line and team in one draft and our offense is embarrassing. Like 1 first down in first quarters when scripted plays should get you some easy first downs. Fire him yesterday.

I can understand wanting to. I was more than a little surprised Canada was brought back after last season. So I’m not against it. I’m just not sure how much that will help this season. Every rule has an exception though.

Hell I heard the media try to justify Justin Fields problems as all coaching today. LoL. Some reason it's still hard for people to understand.....just because you can run fast, throw far , and You were good in college....it means $hit in the NFL.

 

Yea I mean the rest of this season and next even if he shows 0 improvement.
