I hope I'm wrong but this team has underachieved all season and I just can get excited for a big win this weekend. I know on paper we beat them in all phases but if we start the game with poor field position and multiple three and outs were doomed. Not getting my hopes up

I've felt that was more often this season than usual, but I'm feeling very optimistic for the last 2 games. I think they're going to pull it off. It's the playoff games that I'm concerned about if they make it that far.

And your point is? They are playing for a playoff spot also so I wouldn't look past them like we have all the other crap teams we have lost to. You can bet your ass they will be playing with fire, for revenge and also to knock us out and get in! They are much better than San Diego and you see what happened there! We better jump on them early or it could be another nail biter to the end, and as we all know we don't usually prevail in those situations! That being said, lets go tiger hunting and bag the Bengals.

    HERE WE GO STEELERS!!!

that has absolutely nothing to do with it .. thats why most team split the 2 game season with the division opponent not sweep them as you would think.. i think we have about a 33% chance of winning against the bengals with their AJ Green and our poor secondary right now... green will have 150 yards.. and even if we beat the bengals i think we will lose ot the brown .. who, in my opinion are playing the best football in our sorry ass division right now...

totally agree with everythign you said .. first doesnt matter that we beat them once.. the ravens beat us once.. how did that second game work out for them.. to me winning the first game is a disadvantage in that the bengals are much more hungry and seeking revenge... as far as a nail biter.. most every gave we play (unless we get blown out like SD) is a nail biter.. we never win big.. we have no killer instinct... we have no clue how to put teams away... the team doent care to be dominant.. they want to do the least amount of effort to get a win and think just because they are the steelers they will kill the weak teams.. hows that worked out for us so far this year.. i think the odds of us beating beating both the bengals and browns is less than 20%

I think we have every chance of being in this game.

But with the hurt secondary, AJ Green ain't having a 1 catch for 9 yard and 1 TD game this time around.

We need to get a lead early or the crowd will be taken out of the game fast

Is this even possible at this point? With all the crap teams the Steelers have lost to so far?

Yes, its possible. Steeler wins vs the Bengals and Browns PLUS Ravens losses to the Giants and Bengals = Steelers AFCN champs

I am a firm believer that you just can't turn it on and off. This is an undisciplined
team we have.with mediocre talent. Get back to fundamentals and we may have a chance.
Here is hoping that we win the final two games and make the playoffs. I wouldn't bet the house on it though.

At this point, I go into every game worrying, and will continue to do so no matter how far we progress in the potential playoffs. I've seen people picking the Bengals a lot this week though, and that never makes me feel confident, especially because it's, well, the Bengals. Guess we'll see on Sunday.

    >I know on paper we beat them in all phases<

I completely disagree with that statement.

For one the Bengals actually do have a pass rush which the Steelers do not. They also have AJ Green who is probably a top 3 receiver in the league going up against our completely depleted secondary. Ben Jarvis Green-Ellis is running with confidence racking up big yards but I do like our ability to contain the run. The Bengals generate turnovers which the Steelers have trouble doing. Our kicking game is better though.

The Steelers better play with intensity this game which I think they do and come away with a win. It won't be an easy victory though.

Why all the negativity? We are still in this!

We can blame people and F(Fill in the latest scapegoat's initials)I after the season is over if we don't win it all. Right now, enjoy the Steelers diggin themselves out of this hole. I saw the Pirates score eight runs after two outs in the bottom of the ninth. The Steelers winning the Superbowl is more probable than that.

    HERE WE GO.

I at the point I m not worrying about it. If we beat the bungals, we re in the playoffs. If we lose, the Brownie tickets will be cheap and I want to take the wife. Either way, Im not stressing over it.

I'm optimistic that we'll beat the Bengals as I am with most every game the Steelers play. I was also optimistic that we'd beat the Titans, Raiders, Browns, Chargers and that we'd blow the Chiefs out at home.
