    I've actually been avoiding posting here the past 2 weeks (at least the football threads) because I've been livid, depressed, distraught, dismayed and bitter.

    I've felt betrayed, hoodwinked... bamboozled (not run amok) by this team. It feels like a wasted year. SO MANY opportunities, and so many completely missed ones.

    So both the intellectual and emotional sides of me say, "No way. No chance. Window's slamming shut."

    But the kid in me? The fan? I can't help but believe that if we're still playing in January, we have a shot. I shouldn't believe. But I still do.

    A true Steeler fan will have these type of emotions when having a season such as this. I've had a good feeling about this game in Pittsburgh even after the rollercoaster ride we have been on. Its only natural to over react as to thinking we will struggle with Cincy. Over the years i have worried about the hype building up to games that many would say we'd struggle or lose to but the outcome went the other way. I feel we win big not so much in points but for self esteem-pride this will be our turning point. We have bigger fish to fry down the road and this game will be our stepping stone.

    Me too. Sooner or later this team is going to take all that pent up anger and frustration and put it to good use by beating the hell out of somebody and that Somebody will be the Bengals this Sunday.

    EXACTLY!!! I just have a gut feeling we can go out and put together a complete game this weekend. Maybe not a blow out by score, but a blow out by play on the field. I feel this team is ready to strike at home and prove all the Negative fans wrong!! I just hope my feeling is correct!!:herewego!:

    If we had a healthy secondary I would believe, but for now I believe Lebeau wont have any confidence in the young DB's to play man-man, so he'll have them play 40 yards away from the line of scrimmage = 9 yard plays for the Buttholes just like in Dallass
