I read it before I replied. I read it again just now. You aren't getting Tomlin's point. Clearly, his opinion of Pickett's ability differs greatly from yours.

Yes, it's something like that. It is from Ted Lasso. The fictional coach relies on folksy stories and sayings. He claims that goldfish are the happiest creatures on Earth because they forget things so quickly. He tells his players to be goldfish so they can forget their mistakes and failures rather than be bogged down by them.

I may have to watch Ted Lasso, you keep referencing it but I’m like a goldfish so will forget after I leave this post.

This in everything. You can throw a left hook 5 million times , but if You are not throwing them correctly.....you are just getting really good at throwing $hitty left hooks. This is in everything.

I want to see how he bounces back against Cleveland.

We have to remember he still has a lot of growing to do, its possible the 49ers just threw looks at him he wasn’t familiar with yet. They are a superbly coached team.

Yes, Tomlin clearly thinks there's something called "football justice" where you automatically get to play well if you practice. I disagree.

Not everyone, some people try to ride their God given talent, that's why Brady was the first on the practice field and the last even after he collected all the Lombardi's. Tell my teen that all the time, outwork everyone around you and good things will happen!!

It was great until it went woke with Owner and the player storyline that just wasn't believable.

I think that may have been part of it. This was also his first time starting the season as the starter. Throw in the hype from the preseason and maybe things just snowballed after everyone on offense started slowly.

He wouldn't agree with what you wrote, either. You've still got it wrong. I even explained it to you, but you are sticking to your willful ignorance.

If the player has the ability, and Tomlin clearly believes that Pickett does have it, then he believes the hard work will pay off with high-level production. The first part of that statement is what you are missing.

Here we go with the anti-woke police.

It is a comedy. Not everything has to be realistic. Some of it was just silly. The first two seasons were fantastic. Season three was still good, but nowhere near the first two.

I knew the teacher would bite. LOL. It was just a forced storyline that took away from the fun of the show. Can't we just be entertained without that unbelievable sub-story.

Very true Ask. And this offense is in the hands of an offensive coordinator who I believe wouldn't have a job in the NFL. A young offense/ defense needs a strong minded attention to detail signal caller who has actually a resume in the NFL. My fear is that this will lead to a stunt in the growth of this thing and then they will have to start over next season after Canada is shown the door. And the front office needs to hire a competent replacement and take it out of the hands of Tomlin.

Trying to define 'Football Justice'. Your question clearly shows you still don't understand. I can try to make it clearer but that really was about my best effort.

Would you like help searching for your sense of humor? You seem to have misplaced it. The entire premise of Lasso being hired to take over that team was ridiculous, so yeah, I'm going to mock your anti-woke foolishness. There were a couple of storylines that I'm sure the anti-woke crowd couldn't handle. That's your problem, not a flaw in the show.

He was hired because she wanted to sabotage her ex husband's favorite thing in the world. Scribe on my man.

I know why she did it, but that happening was every bit as unrealistic as the storyline that bothers you so much. It wasn't the forced nature of it that bothered you. It was the woke thing.

No it wasn't, it's the entire basis of the show dude. The unrealistic storyline of the owner with practically the youngest player on the team was stupid and forced. Now let's get back to football, we can agree to disagree.

What is he basing this belief he has that Kenny has the ability? Barely beating the likes of the cupcakes he beat last year? His 32nd (25th) ranking in QB ranking last year? His 7 TDs to 9 ints in 2022? His 6 ypa stat? Leading a team that was 2nd to last in TD scoring in 2022?

True about Ben but I also recall Cowher saying in response to Ben's ability to scramble and make things happen, "I wish the play we called had worked". Our plays called now are so vanilla, any QB would be doing lots of scrambling.
