If Canada allows Pickett to make calls and protections at the line of scrimmage, he can account for that by bringing a TE to the other side to stay in and help, or to chip and release into the patter. He can do the same with a running back.

They may leave the line protections to an offensive lineman if they want to take that burden off of Kenny Pickett.

Whether he has that power and ability remains to be seen.

I have seen him move quite a bit over the years. I know at least one of his sacks against the Bengals came from the defense's left side.

To me...If Chuks cannot play on Monday, and Jones is the next man up, he should play at RT. That may be where he is designed anyway. The draft prospect link I posted earlier goes into that.

You do know our line gave a bit more time than 49ers line did. People stop trying to push the blame. Everyone needs blame for that loss, but the brunt should go to one man.
No this doesn't mean I'm done with Him....it doesn't mean I don't like Him, and it definitely doesn't mean I don't think He will get better.

Well first i'm not trying to push the blame. Pickett played horrible. The offensive line was offensive. Dan Moore was the lowest graded left tackle according to PFF and gave up 9, that's 9 QB pressures. You can't stand up there as the coach of this team and state the pass protection was "Awesome"
And people want Moore to stay put. If Chuks can't go its Jones on the left and Moore to the right.

he was at georgia last year. aql said he had never played there in his life and moore did his freshman year. jones has the ability to do it and has practiced it. it's not that far fetched to where it's like him speaking a foreign language.

1st question....did You watch the game???
2nd question....did you see what Jones looked like when He came in the game???
3rd question....You do understand what our OL gave KFP more time than 49ers OL did with Purdy means ....correct???
4th question....why do You believe anything PFF says???

Agreed, I was just wondering if I had missed the part where he was getting time at RT with Pittsburgh until this week. Frankly I would have been surprised to see him in at RT until he practiced there.

4 plays. Graded pretty well. Moore moved to right and gave up a sack.

And where did you get those stats? Purdy sure had time to shred.

Yes I did. Horrible in all 3 phases. But you seem to just want to single out one player.

Because they do research. On all teams.

They have people they claim are experts break down film. It is the quality of that analysis that is questionable at best and often very biased.

    Why did you quote yourself?

Regarding your post, not all research is created equal. I believe in unbiased research with a valid method conducted by qualified professionals. PFF fails on multiple counts.

Looked to me like Purdy had all day when we rushed 4 but would get frazzled when we brought the heat.

Have no idea why they didn’t just keep the heat on him. They were treating him like he was Brady.

I wondered that as well. Sure, they were having trouble covering Aiyuk, but that was the case even when they had seven guys in coverage. They should have kept attacking Purdy all day.
