I commented on this in the game day thread, head bounced off the turf pretty good.

Would explain why he was so off this game.

I hope he wasn't playing concussed. I'd think/hope that he was at the very least checked out. I tend to think he wasn't, but I'm not a doc lol.

I thought the same thing at first when I saw it. The look on his face had me concerned. I certainly hope that isn’t the case. A third one in such a short period of time would be a big red flag. It would also leave me wondering how the hell the medical staff missed it.

The same medical staff who let Cam go back on the field?

Me too but when you think about how badly Miami’s staff handled Tua, you can’t dismiss it.

I don’t think I saw anyone even at him after that.

He was either concussed or severely spooked after that hit. I knew something was off regarding him looking totally uncomposed.

It’s entirely possible he just had a bad game but I tend to think there was a specific reason for that such as a concussion or maybe even having trouble with his gloves.

Could be. I think he was spooked after that hit as he was rushing everything and I hadn't seen that. I knew this was the worst possible matchup for him in game 1 because 1) that defense is nasty and 2) I knew he'd be playing from behind since it's checkers vs. chess with Shannahan vs our staff. Oh well. If he was having trouble with his gloves (haven't heard that anywhere else), then he's not the guy.

I was pissed when he went back in and almost couldn't walk off the field.

Pickett did look out of sorts after the head slam.

damn that would be the worst possible news. You start getting into career ending discussions ala Crosby. Hope that really isnt the case.

Another excuse to add to the list. That look on his face wasn't because he was concussed, its' because he is lost out there. He isn't the answer. What we saw last year, is what he is. 8 TDs in 13 games. Aren't we lucky to have him?

Luckily, you have ZERO concrete knowledge if he is or isn't the guy. Mac Jones finally looks like the guy, Trevor Lawrence figured it out. People wanting to just cut the chord right away are going to have to sit and pout about it because it ain't happening (The Steelers giving up on him) until at least mid year NEXT year.

I don't know anything by sitting at home watching tv or on this computer. Therefore, no one else knows diddly for fact. However, either way you want to look at this, it's not good. Either he is playing poorly and not injured, or he did get his bell rung, the organization failed to recognize this and are worthless, and he is potentially one sack from missing a lot of games. If you are a pessimist, then it's both. JMO>

Yeah don’t know what Frost is talking about. He already has two concussions in a short period, his head bounced pretty good there. Very possible he had a low grade concussion after that.

I'm not dismissing it at all. That was meant as a rhetorical question. I almost brought up their idiotic decision to allow Cam Heyward to return to Sunday's game. I almost brought that up in my response to you. I mentioned on one of the Heyward threads that whoever cleared him should be fired. I stand by that statement. It was inexcusable, no matter what Heyward was saying. Their first job is to protect the player, from himself if necessary. Tell the coach he can't go, then Tomlin needs to tell Heyward his day is done. I would be shocked if trying to play through it didn't make the injury worse.

These are adults, if they are injured they will notify someone. It isn’t youth league and their mothers are not making the call.

Trouble with his gloves? A professional football player? Dear God tell me that wasn't it.

Most history tells us to wait until around Thanksgiving of this year, if he is still sucking, move on. But the Steelers will hang on like they did Malone or Kordell.

"Still sucking" makes it sound like he's sucked for multiple straight games. Nowhere close to the case.
