    This.

People tend to forget that this isn't Kevin Colbert anymore. This is led by both Omar Kahn and Andy Weidl. Whatever needs to be done to improve the team was already on display this off season. Expect it to continue come 2024 and beyond; doubly so if Pickett plays like this for the rest of 2023.

He was never promised to be a franchise QB.

I’m not defending Pickett, he played bad. He missed throws. He also made some throws in there over the middle that were dropped or the WR “slipped”. The receivers were hardly open. He hardly had time due to the poor play of the Oline and there was no running game to speak of.

    ?!

When did I say you were defending Pickett?! :hmm:

All I stated was that if there is a change to be made... it will be made for Kahn and Weidl have shown me, even after one Off Season that good simply isn't good enough. Regarding Pickett, I don't think anyone on the site is defending Pickett; doubly so not me. He was as awful as awful can be. Not really a fan of pinning the future on one game but next week will be a helluva lot more telling than this week.

If this week showcased us anything, Pittsburgh is as far away from being a Super Bowl contending team as Arizona is to making the playoffs. Why?! You see what Miami did to Los Angeles?! That is just one example of how bat $#!% loaded the AFC is.

Do not get me started on Jacksonville either!!:drinks:

Yeah any semblance of a good team mops us. We no longer have Ben going crazy to bail us out. We will continue to get exposed unless we improve.

What??? Lamar Jackson had 2 turnovers, no tds, and like 164 yards passing. People. Just because the Ravens win doesn't mean Lamar is good. They won like 4 games last year He didn't score a td(or something close to that.

This is so funny, and wrong. He had 56 tds, and 20 ints. I'd take some of that so called horrible right now. With the way it's been going since He's left.....it will take 5 season to get that many tds....if You add all our Qbs season put together, and we already have turn the ball over that much.

Yup haven’t seen a multi td game once from Kenny boy. At first I was in denial, now I’m watching and waiting for that big game lol. If he can’t show it then it’s pretty simple he just doesn’t have it.

I don't want to pass judgment too quickly, but as of right now it looks bleak.

Burrow is still hurt, they worked on his calf and knee the entire game. It will be interesting to see if he isn't limited at practice this week. He had 3 full practices the last 6 weeks, he was awful, couldn't move, no timing and I guess the small hands got to him as balls were flailing off his hands in that rain. Watson was bad. He was better than Burrow, but he wasn't injured and didn't miss a practice. He can run but he missed several WRs throwing the ball in the dirt multiple times.

There wasn't an AFCN QB that played even average yesterday.

Not saying this about you but sometimes the overwhelming need to be right first is what leads people to pass judgment way too early.

Agreed, none of the QB's in the AFC north looked very good.
