Could we see Moore at RT and Jones at LT sooner than we thought?

    What a mess already.

What does it say that Bosa chose to change sides and go against Chuks instead of Moore?

    What that means?!

What I have been stating all along; Chuks may be out sooner rather than later. Now, I do preface this by stating the Steelers could potentially move him by the deadline should the likes of both Dylan Cook and Broderick Jones progress that well; Chuks' own improvement no less. However, after today, never mind Chuks not being traded.

Assuming this continues, Chuks may lose his starting spot as a whole all together.

I don't like piling on to certain guys when there is heaps of blame to go round but Chuks still plays like a teddy bear. They need some aggression out there.

Bosa plays both sides. This was posted many times last week.

Terrible effort across the board. OLine was manhandled the entire game.

Figuring Jones starts at LT N Moore at right

Might be a long term thing due to better play, just a guess/IMO

...against Myles Garrett. Ugh. What a way to start an NFL career. Tough assignment.

I imagine we will see Garrett move around. He played on the defensive left side some against the Browns. People talk about the blind side a lot, but coming from the side you can get in the quarterback's face has value, too. Given how Pickett handled pressure against the 49ers, I'd want him to see the rush coming. I'd have the other edge rusher focus more on containing since Pickett seems to like escaping to his left.

i'm for jones playing but i'd put him on the right side for now and leave moore on the left. why change two spots instead of one? you put mt. washington in the game as well.

Broderick Jones though has no occurred snaps at Right Tackle; College and NFL (Preseason included). Placing Jones on that spot is setting him up for failure. Only thing that can be done now is hope for the best for Chuks moving forward.

Because Jones has never played right tackle. At least moore has some practice time and game snaps on the right side

Moore may have had a hard time moving to Right Tackle but he does have snaps under his belt. Cannot say the same for Broderick.

He had a hard time there yesterday, too. I think he will eventually manage the transition, but it's going to take time and that's a problem.

he's got several days to get them. So Moore struggles there but it's not ok if Jones does? Play cook then.

    :hmm:

Several days for a Rookie to learn a new position?!

C'mon Mac. Me and you both know that just isn't possible. Moore is going to struggle but his growing pains will not be anywhere as painful as what they will be with Broderick should the team elect to place him at Right Tackle over Moore.

some guys can move side to side easier than others. This also changes the two guards and who they are getting familiar with.

I hate to say it., but Chuks just lost his job... Broderick is gonna lock down LT and Moore will remain at RT.

Some guys can indeed pick up a new position... provided they have some of the know how to do so. Broderick simply doesn't for he has never played that side. Actually and, while looking this up, Broderick has never played the Right Tackle position all his life. Dan Moore was a Right Tackle in his Freshman Season at Texas A&M.

It clearly has been some time since then but he did get acclimated to the position during this years OTAs and in Preseason. Growing pains are to be expected moving to a position one has very limited time on. Moore wasn't going to be rock solid on his first set of Regular Season snaps and will not be until he settles in.

Putting Broderick in that spot though?! That is no different than placing Joey Porter Jr in the Slot as Porter Jr has no occurred snaps as a Slot CB.

This!!! I know it is crazy talk, but I think Moore is a better LT than Jones. I think Jones should be at RT this year and leave Moore at LT until Broderick develops his feet and hand speed.

Jones is a Mountain and can cement the RT spot with his size and strength. He is currently not ready for the LT position.
