You can tell there is no mean streak in their play. I miss that. Joey Porter Sr. Shaking his head.
    Not like the old days.

Where is the attitude? Punch them in the mouth. Wake up call you got embarrassed at home.

    They should take this personally.

TJ Watt gets the game ball. Everyone gets to wash his Jock strap until they can show they deserve to be in the same locker room.

Props to the 49ers they just made a professional football team look like junior varsity.

I'll probably be in a better mood tomorrow lol

KP is good, he showed it last year. Sometimes guys forget the basics. I see plenty of nfl qb’s not stepping into their throws - KP just might be forgetting a few things in the heat of the moment (first game and all). I’d be somewhat surprised if he doesn’t bounce back. I think we’ll see the KP of last year next week

regarding this coaching staff, I’m not assuming anything with this staff.

I noticed he was trying to hang in the pocket a little longer even with the pressure up front, maybe he couldn’t step into his throws. last year he would’ve scrambled to the right or left and then made a nice pass or he needs an outlet receiver (Najee) again, I’m not assuming anything with team Canada

I was hoping for more than the Pickett of last season. They need more than the Pickett of last season. Hopefully, this is just a blip and he can still take a step forward. Let's see what the news is on Okorafor and Johnson. Losing those two would make it considerably more difficult.

somehow I don’t think Purdy is going to be the next Brady or Montana - his accuracy for one thing was not that great either - yet it was good enough against us.

I'd rather play poorly at the beginning of the year than the end, but we can't get ourselves too far behind the 8 ball. It NEEDS to be a wake up call. We better play more inspired football next Monday. We got horrifically out coached and out played.

The Bengals started horribly last season and ended up in the AFCCG again. It is one game, but we have to do better to prove it was an anomaly and not who we really are.

Joe Burrow threw for 82 yards today. It happens. But KFP has a lot more to prove than Burrow does. He needs to come out next week playing great football to prove it was just a bad game and not indicative of him not progressing as hoped.

Time will tell. Had he not been hurt, the 9ers likely would have been in the SB.

I don`t think the Browns are better than the Bungles.

I also don`t think we are as bad as we played today.

    It`s just ONE game.

I think the middle of the line stunk today. Cole and both guards were bad. Pickett threw behind every receiver today. Austin had a decent day. Allen was not too bad either. Kenny didn't help the receivers at all. D-line and O-line were brutal. We got beat in the trenches.

Burrow should feel like he has a lot to prove. A $275M contract and you go out and throw for 82 yards?

Totally agree with this. Hopefully we find out if we have a QB to build around or need to draft one.

I know I was, but I do every year but this year I was guzzling it. I think I had too much and I'm currently throwing it up saying never again. :)

    Here's another note of optimism.

People keep saying how the Browns destroyed the Bengals. Literally every year the Bengals don't play their starters in preseason, then struggle off the blocks. The Browns win was as much on the Bengals playing poorly as the Browns playing well.

    At least it wasn’t 40-0.

That Giant Cowboy game was the most lopsided I’ve ever seen.

The fact that we lost to the 49ers doesn’t bother me too much. It’s the way we lost. No need to repeat what many have said above. It’s disheartening to see so many guys get their butts handed to them in their individual matchups, but most disheartening to see our QB look like a college freshman that just got thrown into the fire. It’s VERY concerning.

being positive would be fine if the game was a close game and the offense could actually do something. A real leader knows when things need to change and adjusts accordingly, but foolish pride keeps them from doing so.

Positive? TJ Watt. And that we played an NFC team. That's all I got after this @ss whoppin. Unprepared. Starts at the top.

This game against the clowns is an early must win. An AFC divisional game.

When you are throwing to wide open receivers, there is much more margin for error.

We started 2-6 last season and just missed the Playoffs so don't give up the ship just yet.

It from a high of highs 7 days ago to this.

Totally unexpected showing by the Steelers. outside of TJ Watt it wasn't good.

One QB looked very comfortable in Purdy and Pickett looked very down and bad.

I think Kenny will be OK, sometimes you have crappy games.

Look at Joe Burrow yesterday he threw for 82 yards. Then just made him the highest paid.

Even Big Ben had his bad games like 5 INT games.

Tip a hat to the 49ers that is a Super Bowl Caliber team, and we at best are a edge of making the playoff team, if we turn it around.

The talks of Steelers being some dark horse super bowl team, are laughable, no way are they even close to that yet.

I do think they are better team than the way they played yesterday.

We'll know more next week. I'm hoping that 49ers are a damn good team and Steelers just had a bad day at the office. If Steelers get clobbered by the Browns at home, then it's time to panic. Sucks we have to wait until MNF.

Yes if we lose to the Browns that puts us not only 0-2 but 2 games behind the Browns already. The best case scenario next week is we beat the Browns and the Bengals beat the Ravens. That makes everyone in the division 1-1.

Hope that the 49ers are a damn good team?!

I thought it was known that they are either the best or second best team in their Conference. That is pretty damn good as I see it.

One positive note is that the Cheatriots could start off 1-3 or even 0-4.
