At least we aren’t last in the North.

Honestly I’m not even upset with this loss. 49ers is a d@mn good football team.

We got our butt kicking out of the way early. I look for a much better game next week.

I think we need to swallow the pride and get used to basement living this year.

The Browns just kicked the crap out of the Bengals. Don't expect we will look much better next week, especially given all the big injuries we sustained today.

We still don't know what they are. One of the reasons I thought their ceiling is 10 wins. Lot of new pieces on this team. I don't think they are as bad as they looked today. You have to give San Fran some credit for that. But I really cringed when some people were mentioning them as a SB contender.

Don't get too excited for the team you clearly hate to go 0 and 2. What scumbag would pose as a fan of a team they hate. Talk about an existence only a miserable coward would take.

Week 1 is always weird. Thought it was gonna be a low scoring competitive game. We beat the Bengals and Bills in week 1 in previous years....and didn't do squat rest of season.

I wonder if Mike is now kicking himself for not signing that contract extension this offseason?

McFarland played well and I like him returning kicks. It`s like you can see a comic book think bubble thing above his head yelling run straight ahead.

Also...we got annihilated by the Jax Jags in 2001 opening game and ended up in the AFC Championship.

The positive was the team was humbled today by a non conference team that went to the NFC Championship game last year. I think they were, along with a lot of us fans, drinking the kool-aid after the preseason. I believe Tomlin will right this ship and we see a different team next week.

Yep. McFarland and Watt were our best players today. PWP may have been correct.

It's a non-conference loss. We'll know much more about this squad based on how they perform next week.

KP holding the ball too long on some plays and the o-line folding like a cheap tent is very concerning.

Right? They went and beat Cincy week 1 and then had the start to the season they had last year. they'll get it together, but the defense really worries me now.

It seems to me that the CBs were playing off instead man up and pressing and their WRs were running free and wide open. Why get these big man corners to be playing off like that? If they were pressing and throwing off the routes maybe our front 7 would have affected Purdy more. At times he looked like he had all day to throw.

That was puzzling. They say they want to play a certain way, have the bodies to play that way. Then they go in the game and do the exact opposite! I know Kazee is technically a safety, but damn man, you have got to at least make it a little harder than not being within 5 yards!

I agree that if we were going to get shellacked that it coming from a high quality non conference team, it’s best opponent.

I just wish that it wasn’t the first game and how it could set a tone.

Or could it be a wake-up call?

but I’d rather kick off the season on a high note.

Or is it best to get it out of the way?
