    Good.

God knows some of them need it. Having that Vet WR in that huddle us far more critical than one gives it credit for.

My only perspective of the game was turning it on at the 2 minute warning. Niners lost 5 yards in penalties, punted, and the Steelers went 95 yards with no timeouts for a TD. I'd say we look AWESOME..... glad I missed the first 28 minutes....

    Halftime notes:
*Defense has obviously been on the field most of the game but they have still been on their heels a lot
*Offense was vanilla. No creativity! They used the same formation almost everytime in the redzone and they had 2 main targets (Pickens and Muth). That last throw to Muth (was covered) but it was an absolute dime. Otherwise, the defense was in good position there.
*The LOS on both sides needs to lower their pad levels and get a nasty streak going if they want to win.
*SP teams returns have been good

    Hopeful fixes:
*Light a fire under the LOS players (OL and DL)
*Open up your playbook a little on offense. Use some unconventional ways to move the ball.
*Defense needs to reroute receivers off the LOS. Especially with the lack of pressure. Otherwise their offense will continue to hit receivers downfield. Bring some extra blitzers!
*Flush the first half. It's a new half!

    Go Steelers!

if they want to keep him out more, they need to stay on the field. I watched Washington handle him on the run that Warner popped Najee on. Warner is the problem he's seeing everything and flowing there. They need to make him i conflict more instead of running downhill.

    Ugh quiche

I used to like it, but one of my neighbors scarred me forever. My neighbor is sweat as pie. Retired artist. A little flaky, drinks too much, but good people. One night sends a text wanting me to try a quiche she had baked. She had left it outside my door. It was a bit overcooked, but flavor was good. A few minutes later she sends another text. She had left another quiche outside my door. I pull the foil off and it’s cooked perfectly, but it has this odd odor. I get a fork and holy crap it’s terrible. I couldn’t figure out the odd flavor. I texted her and simply said it’s cooked perfectly. She responds telling me she had run out of cream, didn’t want to drive to the store, so used caramel coffee creamer instead.

Agreed, but he still needs to run through the ball on that one.

1st half observations: Peterson is a step slow. Benton needs more strength. ILBs are slow in passing game. Secondary has issues. San Fran is a good team and good test for the Steelers. I need to not overreact to this first game. Play calling was blah until execution of the TD drive.

Yeah, if he gets under that there's no need for a 95 yard drive. In that same vein though, the defense would have had to go right back out there.

They're going to have to score more than they averaged last year to pull this out. Maybe get a freebie from the defense.

The kid from Georgia is a huge target. Caught over 20 balls his last season at Georgia.

This is part of the mentality that we need to lose. "He's only a blocking TE", "he's only a possession WR", he's only a "blocking back".

Defenses have to account for all skill players, at all times! Otherwise, you are tipping your hat

He seems to be pressing. It is really disappointing to see. The opposition is great, but he has to be better than this.

If I was Rooney I’d be in the 49ers locker room and give Shanahan a blank check for next year
