I hate to dig into this guy, he is my favorite player on the D and I have his jersey, but:

I didn't even recognize him out there on the field, is it just me, or did he visibly look seriously out of shape??? His gut was hanging out and it looks like he's lost some muscle mass in his upper body?

I don't know but for the amount of money we are paying him, he sure isn't giving anything in production for it.

i was thinking this too during the dallas game. I was also thinking #92 too but then he came around and stripped the ball. Woodley has been nonexistent this season and Timmons has stepped up.

Woodley needs to get in shape, he looks like he is 265-270 out there. Our linebackers are too big and it shows on the field

Maybe if he were in shape he wouldnt get hurt every other week

I have been saying this since last season he needs to lose some weight and get into better shape. We need a new strength and conditioning coach.

That kid's name was Kendrell Bell and I had the same thought earlier. Is Lammar Woodley this generation's Kendrell Bell who set the league on fire and then fizzled out because of incessant, nagging injuries? :hmmm:

No he is not bell. Bell was at his best when told to just go attack once he was asked to read and react he couldn't do it. I rememberhearing something about he never really learned the playbook or something like that. Woodley can read and react he is just always hurt though.

After the Horrific shootings in Conn. Woodley made some post on FB. He posted about his own 5yr old daughter. He posted about helping those families financially. He posted a sign of all the victims names and ages.

I think he was hit hard emotionally by this and just wasn't as focused and prepared as he should have been. Add to that his nagging injurys and obvious football conditioning being less than desired and you get what you saw sunday. A healthy focused Woodley would have owned OT D. Free

Instead of quickly turning on him let's pray for him. Our team needs him to be who he is capable of being and who WE feel in love with earlier in his career.

I think most players and anyone else with a heart was impacted by that horrific act of evil in CT, but I don't think we can attribute Woodley's subpar performance on Sunday to that.

I can only presume that he's not 100%. I saw on more than one occasion in the Dallas game where he went to one knee off of a simple block the OT was giving to him. If Free is as bad as some say he should have blown right by him.
It obvious to everyone here that they HAVE to generate some kind of pass rush. The lack of pass rush is what is making the Db's look even worse then they are. Why not get creative with who they put on the field where. Why not line up Woodley and Harrison on the same side and give the defense a different look, even if both don't rush the passer? Lebeau needs to put on his thinking cap and use his players to the best of their ability.

I think maybe I should have kept my thoughts to myself. I absolutely hate it when politicians use tragedys to advance their own agendas. I feel like I have un-intentionally done something similar.

My point was He was obviously not himself due to injurys and the lack of conditioning due to said injurys and maybe his mental preparedness was effected by the evil act on Fri. I should not have went there and apologize.

    Woodley is too fat. Period.

He needs to lose about 35lbs and be around 255.

You are exactly right, ship it out just like they did with Kendrell. Woodley could be part of the
(BETTIS TYPE trade I am proposing in another thread)

My thoughts exactly! He is way too big and slow as hell nowadays!=NON FACTOR. He needs to get the hell off of Facebook all the time and hit the gym. Seems like another player who got the big contract and now his head is as big as the stadium and doesnt think he needs to work anymore. He hasn't done squat this year, period!! Love what he has done in past years but he seems fat and lazy this year.

    .

:this!: If he dose not want to get in shape, ship him out as he is not good if out of shape and his often injuries due to being out of shape.
