Big Ken?

Cam mentioned starting to call Kenny Big Ken...going on record to say I really hope it doesn't stick. Not a fan. I'm still on the Kenny Effing Pickett wagon.

 

Why? It makes no sense. I like KP2G. Not mine, I read it elsewhere.

What is it with fries ON the sandwich in Pittsburgh? It’s like, I’m too dang lazy to eat the fries AND the sandwich, so just throw those fries on the sandwich and let me save myself the trouble, lol.

 

When the Primanti Brothers first opened their sandwich cart 90 years ago they had all of their ingredients ready to start their business but when the first customer came they realized that they forgot to bring paper plates. So they put the meat, cheese, coleslaw and fries between 2 slices of bread and gave it to customer. He took his sandwich back to the construction site and showed all of the guys his amazing sandwich. Soon there was a big rush on people wanting those sandwiches. The Primanti Brothers were soon able to move on from their sandwich cart and buy a store along the street in 1933. The same year that Art Rooney bought the Pittsburgh football franchise then known as the Pirates but a few years later renamed the Steelers.

 

This is a poor attempt to move on from Ben by replacing him with a newer younger model but trading off the persona so you can still connect with the fan base. I'm not a fan. Big Ben was Ben's thing because of his size and who he was, you can't duplicate that.

KFP is his own thing he doesn't need to be called Big Ken to generate hype. He already cut his eyelids off, he already made a statement his rookie year. He is Kenny F-in Pickett.
