Seems a tad low to me, nearly middle of the pack. But I'm not going to act all enraged over it, it's not that far off, plus the Steelers always play better when they are underrated, as they were both recent Super Bowl seasons.

We aint nothing to worry about. Naaaaaaaaaa, we're just this little black & gold-colored team in little ole Pittsburgh, nothing to worry about.

I hope that when the season ends we are at least ranked #7 in the AFC.

Power rankings are like probowl votes. It's a popularity contest with flavor of the moment and worth as much as Subway coupons.

All that being said respect or disrespect doesn't matter they are going to do what they do. I'm hoping that what they do is destroy teams in all facets of the game.

Considering where the O ranked last season I think they are projecting the team high actually. We hope the fire from the preseason is real. but until they hit the field and produce in RT they are still a team that has not shown much the last couple of years, and still have Canada.

I like it when the talking heads in the media underestimate the Steelers. It will be funny to watch them jump on the Steelers bandwagon.

Well, I just got a free footlong from Subway today, a totally free footlong sub. My total bill was $12 and that was with a large soda and TWO footlong subs, PLUS a $2 tip. So I'm not going to poo poo a deal from Subway. A free footlong is a nice deal - Happy Gilmore himself would agree.

That's hardly outrageous. They came on hard every bit as we did last year plus have a more established QB, so that's no sin.

That's probably about right going off of last year. I'm hopeful by week three we'll be top ten. Not that it matters at all .. Lol

Pgh is the official abbreviation for Pittsburgh

    Apparently you aren’t from Pittsburgh

A hundred years ago the H was left off by mistake on early documents

On July 19, 1911, the government agreed and formally returned the "h" to Pittsburgh

The PGH was used to make the point there is an H there

I think middle of the pack is about right for now. They’ve still got a lot to prove. In two days, all of the hype, prognostications, predictions, analysis and talking head expert opinion comes to an end and this group of Steelers gets to show what they are or what they aren’t.

Yes, and as we all know, it's a marathon not a sprint once the season begins. So even if we lose week 1, it's not the end of the season/world. :drinks:

Correct. In the early 1800's a clerk mistakenly left off the H at the end of Pittsburgh but the people in the town used it anyway. Then in 1891 the federal government under Benjamin Harrison ordered that all cities and towns had to be uniform and end in either "berg" or "burg". Then in 1911 Mayor Bill Magee said screw the federal government we are taking the "H" back in our name. The federal government under the Taft Administration relented and it's been officially Pittsburgh ever since.
