Monster contract! Good. Let him play so the dolts when we win can't have the "Well Bosa didn't play BS"

A little chippin from Washington coming up!

Of course they are preparing for him, but that doesn’t mean they are good enough to stop him from getting to Pickett. Preparation is one thing but stopping the highest paid defensive player in the game is gong to be just as tough as stopping Watt. Hope they can do it though…..it will tell a lot about this team. I’m still expecting really bad play calling that will keep Pickett out of harms way as much as possible

Hey Rook, go block the defending defensive player of the year game 1. Hmmm…I hope the scheme is a bit more complex than that.

I don't think the steelers are stupid to put a TE or even just one o-line player on an island against Bosa...I expect them to double team on occasion and the steelers will ask Pickett to make several quick passes...The running game will also be very crucial in this game

I see there is a 70% chance of rain during the game on Sunday. I'm wondering if they do play in a steady downpour all game which team does it benefit?

The scary thing about Bosa is that he is pretty effective from either side so they could move him around to create a mismatch. On the upside, I don't think whoever is opposite of him is even close to the same level as what Highsmith is opposite of Watt. From a pass rushing standpoint I would expect the Steelers to have the advantage but as far as running the ball up the middle, I don't really see either team being that effective at that.

Is 2 1/2 points an upset

    Is 1/2 point

Seems to diminish the word upset

I lived in Chicago when “Sweetness” was playing

Compared to his daily workout game day was a day off

    Hmmm...

    @S.T.D@S.T.D

I understand this is quite premature but the likelihood of drafting an IDL in Round One should not be out of the realm of possibility here.

Beyond Cameron Heyward and presumably Keenau Benton... who else depth wise?! Never mind problem, Larry Os health is now a major concern moving forward.

On another related note to the game...

Darnell Washington is now the official X Factor. A major aspect of this game will come down to how well Washington can assist chipping Bosa. Yes, Bosa will likely be on a snap count but he has shown he is capable of destroying game plans.

    Did I say it was???
Maybe I did... I don't remember. I do believe right now how everything stands....Center should be the 1st, but of course many things can, and usually do change throughout the course of a season.

Let's hope we can get that running game going early and often to open up play action.

My guess is it will have to be the other way around. They are going to have to show something in the passing game early to open up room to run.

    Oh no no.

Me and you are still in the mindset of needing a Corner. Patrick Peterson isn't getting any younger, Levi Wallace could be on his way out soon and Cory Trice Jr is a Wild Card. Best to stock that room back up though Maason Smith from LSU simply looks too good of an option to pass up should he be considered.

Signed for 3 years. This is not good news at all. Limited = injury. Right Foot. Again. Missed the whole pre season. Same foot that was injured when he was with the Bungles. He had surgery. The Bears were going to sign him and they backed off a contract, a 3 year 40.5 mill after he failed the physical.

He is here to stay with the dead cap hits so lets hope that this foot issue doesn't progress into missing games.

    His contract breakdown:

SF is a tough team, especially with the talent they've accumulated in the draft (top 10 picks in 5 of the last 8 seasons).
BUT... they are beatable, and I think are being overvalued.

Last year (13-4) they had a third-place division schedule. As good as their defense is, their stats are buffed a bit by the teams they played.
They still have 4 cupcake games against the Ram and Cardinals, but I think they won't have the same success with a first-place schedule this season.

    The key will be turnovers.
Last year, SF had the 3rd fewest offensive TOs, and the 2nd best defensive TOs (1st in INTs). In games where they lost the turnover differential, they were 0-4. (In all 13 wins, they were even or positive.) This was also true in the playoffs.
If the OL gives Pickett enough time to avoid mistakes, and our defense gets a few sack-fumbles, SF will be in trouble.
