    Not surprised.

Called this earlier in the Off Season. Stated that it will be at the 11th hour with either $32 or $34 Million per season to appease him. The question should never have been whether or not if Bosa were to get paid.

The question remained as to how long he would hold out.

Maybe his snaps will be limited, but the offensive line will be severely tested, especially in pass protection.

Same can be said for Purdy vs TJ Watt.

Neither QB is leaving with a clean Jersey.

No doubt. and like every team you keep who you can, but the reality is hitting them soon. I am sure moves will be made, and if Purdy continues then they are OK for a year, but the payments so catch up.

These guys have been practicing against Watt and Highsmith.

Their new rookie tackle has NOT been sharpening up against a top flight edge rusher like Watt.

They have a new D coordinator and unlike TJ’s hold-IN and being with the team and in meetings staying in the pocket, Bosa has been holding out and not with them since January.

He still has to get up to speed with the defensive signals, and calls to hold the edge. He will have more rust than our DPOY had last years 1st game. I’m sure he’ll be a menace, but I don’t think he’ll be in peak form.

And we have Mt. Warshington to help the Tackles.

I want to see how Purdy fares against a good defense/pass rush since IIRC he had a bunch of cream puff games in that regard while the hype train got rolling. His first real test would have come against the Eagles and he didnt get to play. If he performs against the Steelers, then I’ll believe they have something in him.

But all I remember about him last season was having all day to throw while playing pitch and catch to college open receivers.

The guy was still 7-0 as a starter. Did see a YT report today that said he look great and then sloppy in camp. i cant find it, nor do I believe that really has any merit. Can we find a way to rattle him, cover and make plays and get TO's, that is what matters.

    Yep.

All the more reason I am more enticed by Kenny's development over Purdy.

As I have been on record in stating, Kyle Shanahan's system is essentially a QBs Best Friend. Now granted, that position is the most valuable but there is a massive catch with the system; something only Joy Taylor has spoke of in the National Media.

Every weapon around whatever QB is at center for Kyle is tailor made to have success; no matter their limitations. I definitley cannot say the same for someone like Kenny; doubly so since his Rookie Season was a literal "War On Two Fronts".

Wish he could wear that big black cushion around his helmet as he is concussion prone until he isn't. JMO>

    No doubt.

Kyle Shanahan better win a Lombardi or heads are going to roll in the Bay Area.

    I mean...

He has taken on the likes of Myles Garrett since his Rookie Season. Whether Myles is liked or by Steelers Fans not should be no means detract that he is a Top 3 EDGE Player in the NFL. Add in Moore's improvement from what was seen in the preseason and I do like Moores chances of limiting Bosa.

Chuks though is the one I do have concerns for. Remember that Bosa can play either side and will prefer the more favorable match up. Between the two, Chuks is the bigger target here.

I know that finding a QB in the 7th is quite a thing, it does make the Lance debacle a little more palatable, especially if they win the SB, but that is also 3 first round picks that could possibly have filled these holes that are coming. There is no right or wrong, its just the way you work it, but if it does not work you can find yourself like the Cards or Rams in short order.

Well, Steelers need to bring their A game no matter who plays, so time to step it up regardless.
