I too once had but screwed up protecting them. All I have left is Mario L. holding The Cup over his head, front page PG. Had that laminated as I should have done with others.

I also have all the Stanley cup ones

Plus a lot of SI issues

I’m working on my man cave finally and may be able to hang all of this by next spring

I also have a big picture of a mother moose with a baby moose that my wife told me I can hang in the garage

I've told this story somewhere on here. I am in SI. Found by pure chance and robbery. My nephew, a cop, picked it up in a Doc office and was reading an article of the Flyers. Lo and behold there I am in back ground with girl from work, front row at a PENS/flyers game. Nephew stole it from Docs office and girl I was with ordered two copies from SI. Man did I have a ton of fun with that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And in all honesty you can tell people you golf and you were in SI and say it all in the same breath and sentence and leave it at that

I have a buddy who tells people he went skiing and broke his ankle at Breckinridge

He leaves out the part where he slipped and fell in the bar parking lot

My mom tried to get my dad into SI. He hit three holes in one in one month, on three different holes. Didn't make it.

These are the kind of games Tomlin teams get up for.

plus we’re at home and TJ is healthy, I think we should win.

Oh yeah, we have a competent starting caliber QB for the first time in like 5 years (sorry Ben, your wheels were shot and you had a moron calling the plays)

That is what I did. I lied about some Golf thing I won and made it into SI. Then all they see is a picture of a Flyer. As they look closer, the reactions I got were priceless. I must have done it for at least 10 years with different people. Sadly I'm changing but some still can tell it's a younger me.

Tomlin has been getting them ready since PS Game 1 - making vets take the Snaps. He KNOWS this is a critical game, early. In a DIVISION where tiebreakers are like opponents after head to head, this is a BIG ONE

I already see posts here and other places about how this is a huge game and one the Steelers must win. Although, I do subscribe to the idea they are all big games in the NFL, this is only one game. Win or lose it is 1 of 17. This is not a must win by any means.
That said, it will be a disappointment for me if we lose week 1.

I just hope they can cover the middle of the field against WR crossers and McCaffrey dumpoffs.

Fans always over react to openers. It is difficult to see it in the context of 16 other games when that is the only one we've seen. Also, there has been so much hype and the starters have looked so good in preseason, that it would be more deflating than it should be if they lose. Not only is it arguably the toughest opponent on their schedule, but it is also a non-conference game. If they are going to lose one, this is the game you would want it to be, but I guarantee it wouldn't feel that way Sunday.

On the other hand, this is a statement game. This is a real test for the entire team, especially Kenny Pickett. I'm sure there would be an equally extreme reaction to a victory, but we should remember this team beat elite teams to open the last two seasons, and neither of those Pittsburgh teams were covered in glory by the end.

i know - i get your critique - this one is a bit different, (IMO) in our division. a loss here hurts badly - tiebreakers. write it down and then we can watch. if we win or lose and then see what CLE, CIN and BAL do vs. them. SF may win all of them, or some of them, tie breakers will come into play in our division, I think

It's mostly going to depend on how the steelers win if they beat the 49ers.Remember, despite their win vs Bills and Bengals in the last two years, our offense had been just awful in his 2 games and that was a sign to come.

Many people try to set it up that way so they can claim that Tomlin has set them up for another horrible season if they lose. It's always about creating the no-win situation for Mike Tomlin.

It's the damnedest thing how hard people that claim they are fans, clamor for the failure of their team in the hopes of proving the incompetence of the head coach.

I think it may be a fairly high scoring game .. They have a lot of weapons and so do we ..I hope we can sustain and finish drives ..

We will see if the O-Line can protect Pickett and prevent him from getting his head taken off by Bosa and company. Having Bosa back is like getting Watt back for us last year after his injury. This could end up moving the line quite a few points. Remember, we still have the same offensive coordinator who will probably be calling really conservative plays to protect his star QB. Go get em’ steelers!
