Finishing 12-4 last season to possibly 8-8 or 7-9
    Is unacceptable for this team

There needs to be changes to the coaching staff even if they win the next 2 games. LeBeau needs to retire the special teams coach needs to be fired strength and conditioning coach needs to be fired.

I'd still like someone to tell me exactly which injuries are the conditioning coach's fault?

Couldn't remember who it was and didn't want to give credit to the wrong person.

I think it's obvious that the strenght and conditioning coach is not to blame for injuries but I do question his program. These guys have look like they added weight in all the wrong places. Woodley looks like he's one piece of cheese away from busting his pants and Ziggy the workout warrior hasn't been much better after posting his workout on video. Dwyer has always been a work in progress and Mike Adams doesn't appear strong enough to man up against NFL caliber linemen.

SteelerGlen, most of the team does not look like they are in shape and not very strong and I think this is some of the injuries. Like Woodley is out of shape and that is why he is injured so much. I remember when the whole offensive line could bench press 500 lbs, I think our line today would be lucky to bench half of that. Both of our lines are big overall but not strong or athletic hence more injuries like with Gilbert, Adams, and Woodley.

Injuries like Ike has, or concussion types or ACL's have nothing to due with conditioning or strength but we have too many other injuries that are a result of poor conditioning.

I would say that most people think the RECURRING injuries are due to poor conditioning. Like Woodley, Troy, Redman, Dwyer. I would say that's what people are talking about. Woodley is always carrying around some injury. Troy has missed like 18 games or something in the past couple of years because of injury. Redman messed up his groin. Dwyer had a quad issue. I think that's what it is.

Well maybe if our guys would spend more time in the film room it would strenghthen their brains and thus make concussions harder to occur.

Oh its usually never the high priced players going (Troy Woodley)
there has to be fall guys every where. so in this case it will be position coaches. I look for
a major shake up if we don't make the playoffs.

The Rooneys have built a strong franchise on years of sticking with a plan that includes long-term coaches, and I don't see that changing. That said, it's always possible Haley will exit on his own, and I imagine some of our other position coaches could either find other places that want them or play scapegoats for a team failure this year.

Yes, but would he even get an offer at this point? I'm not saying its all on him, just that I doubt anyone is looking at the Steelers offense and going "whoa, we have to hire that guy!"

Based on the way they have played this season, i'll say it, no they wont win both of their remaining games, even if they squeek out a win against the bungles sunday, which is in doubt, the clowns are coming to town to play their superbowl game, and if we lose sunday most of our players will be thinking about packing up their locker and going home more than beating the clowns in a meaningless game...

I thought there were rumors of interest in him as a potential HC somewhere else next year?

    Huh?
How can you say they are not very strong? Based on what?
Im 42, 180lbs, and haven't trained for strength in years and I guarantee you that I could walk into a gym today and bench press 250 lbs. I'll bet that all of the skill players are easily benching 300+ pounds. O linemen have got to be pressing at least 400 if not more.

No. Cowher had a few 8-8 or 9-7 seasons too. This is the Rooney's. You don't get fired for a bad season.

I don't think it will be major coaching changes.

    Kugler to UTEP
    Amos the special teams coach
    Strength and Conditioning coach
Lebeau will not retire even though I would not cry if he did.
