And the Steelers actually got something for him! Were the Texans nuts? Were they drunk? He would have been cut an hour later anyway. And others will be available who are better than Green.
Hats off to Khan, a lesser GM would have had to throw in some athletic tape or maybe some unwashed but still serviceable jockstraps to get another team to take him.
How bad is the Texans’ Oline that they would do this? I can’t wait to see if they use him as a center who can’t snap, or a guard who can’t block.

Did he have a college coach who is now with the Texans? I have no other explanation.

being talked about in the FA thread. The texans interior line is devastated with injuries, can only think they see his experience (one year not being dressed) better than nothing.

Oh no, we have to play the Texans in week 4 I believe. Green will be so fired up he'll knock Watt on his ass a few times.

Actually the move has given me more positivity towards season.

The Khan artist does it again and finagles a 6th out of the Texans for a player who was a revolving door for Dlineman on their way to the QB and was about to get cut.

Loved the compensation for Dotson aswell as we will certainly be moving up the draft board with draft pick swaps as the Rams should not be good at all.

I don't get it. Texans were #2 on the Waiver list. The chances of Chicago claiming him were small.
    But I'll take it.

You laugh until Green displaces All-Pro Quenton Nelson.

He is a guard I believe...And their 2 tackle are also out right now....Houston have a depleted offensive line right now

Texans did it for the Fans.
They don't have to buy new "Green" jerseys.

This make me happy that there is NO WAY for Kendrick Green to start for us this year.

I was upset when we traded Dotson, because I thought that would mean we may be seeing Green start for the Steelers when one of the Guards went down this season.

The Steelers lose in this situation. A 3rd round pick for a 6th round pick. I believe the Steelers would had preferred that Green developed considering his rare athleticism for a man of his size.

Good for Green that he will have another opportunity to extend his career with another team.

In hindsight he was a third rd pick that should have been a sixth rd pick, but nonetheless to get anything for him I feel like the Steelers break even on this one.

The Steelers received a 6th round pick for a 3rd round pick. Think about it? Green had a lot of good attributes coming out of college.

Why was a team willing to give up a 6th round pick for Green? Think about it?

Gaining back a 6th for a guy who probably would have been released is a win even if he never lived up to his draft round

If ever a team failed a player it was the Steelers handling of Green. Draft a guard throw him into the fire as a center and then sit him the following year.

2 years removed from his natural position never getting the opportunity to develop his skills.

Talk about stunting a players growth.

Not based on his combine results and athletic ability. Go compare Pouncey's combine to Green's combine.

Green's liability was his inability to anchor vs NFL caliber talent as a center. It's possible the Steelers put Green in a bad situation to soon.

    1. Lots of players are not worth what they were drafted at.
    2. The reason Texans wanted someone is because how bad their OL got and then needed a player.
    3. He's not even going to start for us, even if he stayed.

So to get a 6th for a player who was looking at being cut, is great. Or a player who was not going to perform this year for us. Did you not see how many bad snaps he had?

Also we get him off the books of 1.3 this year and 1.5 next year.

..... this is a win for us.

We don't know if Green would had been released. Another team is giving Green a chance. If Green was so bad then why would another team be willing to trade anything for him?

I believe the Steelers would had preferred that Green worked out.

Yes we can know he was not going to.

He didn't start with the first team reps in pre season.

He got Kenny his concussions last year.

...... I'm just curious, is Green your favorite player? Any relations to them? You're arguing on this very hard.

their C is questionable, their back up C is also the number 2 back up guard. Green may be the savior called upon to protect and a crisp over the head snap to the rookie QB. lmao

You know sarcasm is supposed to be in green lettering. Sure they wanted him to work out, but he didn't. the other team is called the Texans and they are morons, which is fine, I'll take that moronic thinking any day.
