I started a thread about DTV's Sunday Ticket Class Action Suit but this one has more traction.

"Anyone else get their notice about a pending Class Action Suit against the NFL and all 32 Teams re: Sunday Ticket which is claimed to have "suppressed competition of sale of NFL game telecasts", a violation of The Sherman Act. This may be what we (many of us) have all been waiting/asking for now that YouTube has taken over with the same price-gouging practices of not providing partial/preferred team (like the Steelers) subscriptions. It's apparently just getting started and will probably take some time before any compensation is dished out and in what form. Hoping this shakes this whole matter up a great deal so that the consumers (aka broke di_ks) can have a choice. IMHO, it got a lot worse when ATT took over DTV and discontinued any negotiated price levels (and other goodies) to long standing customers of DTV and Sunday Ticket. Jurisprudence I say! :thumbs up:

EDIT: I didn't add this as a post to the previous YouTube Sunday Ticket thread because so far this only deals with DTV's version of Sunday Ticket subscriptions between 2011 to 2023. Hoping it gets YouTube's attention or they are also brought into the fray."

Yep I watched the game on Thursday on NFL network, a couple of games on fox over the weekend and a soccer game the other day with my son. No issues so far. I'm waiting for a last minute deal for Sunday ticket but not sure how long I'll wait.

I ordered service Wednesday, installed it Saturday. Absolutely painless installation and works flawlessly. I’ve been 100% streaming for 2+ years now. There is no cable or cat5. It’s 5G wireless

YouTube is owned by Google. I’m guessing they outbid Apple as Apple was rumored to be the front runner

Pretty sure you missed out. They were offering 40% off for early subscriptions

Yeah the early bird specials were the way to go, now I'm just holding off to see if they get desperate after reports of slumping sales. Sucks that Verizon will pay for the Ticket and YouTubeTV if you switch to them but I've been a customer for 20 some years

I read a clickbait article where the author was upset with the switch because he wants the option to watch 8 games simultaneously on his TV because he has no favorite team and is a hardcore sports betting type so it frustrates him to be reduced to only four games. The poor thing I don't know how he had the courage to write the article amidst his tragedy.

Well You did have that option with DTV. That's how I watch football when the Steelers weren't playing.

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, that was pretty cool watching 8 games at a time.

I’ve had it for a couple of months and it’s never paused to buffer or had any hiccups. I’ll admit to being a bit concerned about whether they can manage the Sunday Ticket bandwidth requirements. We’ll see soon. I have 1 GB fiber, so no concerns there.

I got youtube Tv over a month ago and no issues. i just went back and checked on the Sunday Ticket and now they are offering 4 monthly payments instead of paying all at once. Still no discount but hey, it helps?

Sounds like my old next door neighbor. He was a baseball fanatic. He literally had 5 televisions in his living room w/ a game on every one of them. He would also dvr braves games and watch them in the off-season.

I typically had 3 devices running for non televised games. I had a feed going on my desktop, the game tracker play by play o. NFL website on my iPad and the GameDay thread on my phone. It was hilarious because the game day thread was real time, the stream was at least 3 minutes behind and the website often got plays wrong. It's a lot if fun though.

Some of them are free for seniors
