Do you even have local stations or do you get Grand Forks and/or Fargo

Grand Forks and Fargo, GF is about 60 miles from us so they carry the local FOX,CBS, ABC and NBC content. So they almost always have Vikings/Packers and Bears games. When Wentz played for the Eagles they broadcasted his games when they could because of the Fargo connection. We decided to drop our basic cable bundle because I am the only user for it and then only when its Football season. I just did the free 10 day trial on Youtube TV and that sealed the deal, my son got to watch Manchester United game the other day and he was the way I am after a Steelers win. The wife used the free DVR service and live feeds to just play in the background when she works and said yep we are dropping cable. I am planning to do the Sunday Ticket next week but would have been nice to have the option to break it up too.

If this isn't allowed just take it down

Check out Dofu App for watching NFL, NBA, NCAAF, MLB, NHL ... http://dofustream.com

I've used this for a few years now.

My bad. I'll never get out of that conversation! I would give it at least 10 pages of fun and insults.

I remain a bit dubious about how Youtube TV is going to deliver the games. I was on Direct TV since 2001, and never had any issues. I also liked how you could pay for the Sunday Ticket across a 6 month period, whereas Youtube wanted all the money up front. We will see.

I also have NFL+ which I am pleased with. Last night for example, you could watch the Steelers game there with the Steelers announcers whereas the ABC feed had the Bills. You can also have the local games during the regular season on your tablet or phone, unlike the Sunday ticket where those games are blacked out.

Never had any issues or never had any issues beyond the normal for satellite TV service? I always suffered rain and poor weather interference back in the early 00's. I can't speak for their Sunday Ticket yet(I stress yet) but the streaming service so far is excellent. My son watched the 2 Machester United games this week and they were great. I had NFL network going most of the day yesterday and no complaints.

DirecTV now automatically switches you to streaming when the weather is bad. Still holding on to my DTV.

So Verizon is just offering YouTubes service on their platform or would the games be via cable through Verizon?

I’m weary of the lag times and buffering problems that comes with streaming. I hated Thursday night football as a streaming service.

Yeah, the whole streaming part of YouTube TV will make the game day thread around here interesting. I'm likely to be a few plays behind all the time.

How does YouTube outbid Verizon anyway. I always thought they would be the new home after they were finished with Direct TV.

I just hope Sunday ticket doesn't bounce from platform to platform each year, going to the highest bidder. What a pain in the ass that would be.

I'm just glad I can get the NFL TV package and record the games and don't need to have DirecTV.

I have had youtube TV for about two weeks or so. I haven't experienced any lag with the feeds and it can be paused like the direct TV dvr used to.

I would think they have a multi year contract. Unless this is akin to an experimental season to see how the streaming goes.

That’s encouraging. I assume you are talking about live sporting events?
