If anyone wanted Mason, they could have had him for vet minimum in the offseason. All 31 other teams could've had him for nothing, but they passed. Doubt they are willing to give anything up for him now.

Besides, the FO actively wanted Trubisky and Mitch actively wants to be here. I doubt we are thinking of dealing him for anything right now. Hopefully we don't need our 3rd QB, but having one with game experience at all isn't a bad thing for sure. I'd be shocked if we don't take a QB in the later half of the draft next year to develop as QB3.

No but I could tell you all about Walter Hunt's thought process when he invented the safety pin in 1849.

Wonder why these GMs are making trades when 43,492 players will soon be available ?

If there is a specific player that they love, they get the player on their terms and they aren't competing with 31 other teams to sign them or hope that the player wants to play for them. They control the entire situation, and they get the player they want at a price they are comfortable with.

I am shocked that Dobbs was just traded for a 5th round pick. Dobbs and Mason were both unemployed and desperate for a team just a few month's ago. Dobbs had spent time on Practice Squads last year when any team could have had him for nothing.

If Dobbs is currently valued at a 5th, then Mason's stock may be higher than I thought it was.

Pertinent and interesting for those who do not like poking their fingers, but can you research why Browns owner gave a fully guaranteed 230 million dollar contract to a guy who likes happy endings?

I think you are overthinking this. In the game (maybe more) Dobbs actually played in last year he did OK, was actually given a fully guaranteed one year contract by the Browns (I believe 2 million), the Browns liked their other QB's and Card's have absolutely nothing. It was not a straight 5th round pick, the Browns also sent a 7th rounder, not much but the cars still got a pick back.

Have no idea if the Cards (or anybody) called about MR, or if the steelers put feelers out, but thinking he has any real stock is unlikely.

Mitch and Rudolph are both terrible in their own ways. Mitch has been given more chances to succeed though. It seems his brain freezes in the pocket if initial read isn’t there. Mason’s brain tells him not to get hit and he just get rid of the ball.. for two yard gain when you need ten or an interception. Both are back ups. Teams will have QB injuries during the season. That’s when you move one of them.

I agree except for either of them being trade bait.

Mitch is stiff as a board. If Pickett goes down he will have to stop being scared and let it rip. I don't know if he is capable.

Rudolph sees shadows. And face it he is washed. Time for him to get on with his lifes work after this year.

Morgan has been a disappointment. Gone.

Funny how the talking heads were saying that we had the best QB room

I wonder if Khan and Weidl are looking at a better 3rd QB after the cuts? And release Rudolph.

that stuff is fascinating. do you know why many italians are named tony? they couldn't speak english when on the boat to ellis island and they would pin a note on their coats (to ny). some arrived and the name wop wasn't a demeaning phrase it was without papers (WOP).

I feel Steelers need to acquire a better slot corner. Pat P will be good, but little confidence in the others

Calling Morgan a disappointment is a bit much. Hell they did not even draft the guy. He had one great year in college in 2019, the rest pretty much meh. worthy of a camp look but I don't think anyone had realistic expectations he would do anything.

Well to the Dobbs supporters being sent to the Cards was a blockbuster move! To the historians however we felt it was inevitable, Steelers west usually get our leftovers lol.

Some were just given from a town, thus Vito Corleone was created, and he made the most of it.

In some seriousness, my great grandparents came from Poland, he first, she stayed for a couple of years with 2 boys, Cannot imagine that 4'11 woman (if that) going through that, but they were able to buy a farm. Before she died she owned a small home, rented out rooms and crocheted plastic bread bags into door mats and sold them for 2-3 bucks. My mother helper her organize stuff when she got cancer, she had 150,000 in the bank. My estranged Grandfather weasled his way back in and took it all, which was fine. She lived with us the final year, hardly spoke english, but gave me a love for cabbage and kielbasi lol.

I'd get rid of both. There are way better backups out there(I don't care what someone did on another team 4 years ago, and longer) than either Mitch, or Mason....., but anyone that knows our beloved Steelers have spent too much on Mitch, and Drafted Mason, and they can be very stubborn on admitting they are wrong. You only have to look around, or remember some of the players we have kept. Mitch can't throw in the air farther then 10 yards, and it be close to a target, and that's all Mason has. If We could combine them....then we would have a decent backup, but separate they both suck.

Wop is correct, but Antonio is a very very common name in Italy, and Tony is short for that.

Yes it is common there but were registered here as Tony because of the to new york. Most signing them in here couldn't speak Italian either so that was very common. Both of my grandparents came from there. My grandfather from Sicily and my grandmother from just outside of Rome.

With 10 million in cap space. I could see us making a trade.
    - improving line to open holes for running game
    - trading for a decent backup QB. Then cutting trubisky
    - trading for CB
