Steelers vs. Failcons preseason game thread

Yahoo, the last preseason game! Last time we see a lot of guys, too. Cuts are a-comin’. And as Kermit the Frog said, “It’s not easy being Green”.

 

Couldn’t care less about a win or loss. Starters get a half. Let’s see a well oiled machine and please no injuries

 

A lot going on in that crappy town tonight.........

 

Apparently, the starters of the falcons are not going to play tonight....

 

What a buzz kill. Pretty much a waste of time now. I'd get our guys out fast and avoid injury from some 2nd or 3rd stringer trying to earn a spot.

 

Ooof. I don't know...I say a quarter tops. No need to for extra opportunities for injuries.

Also sounds like MT not playing the true vets. Watt, Heyward, Peterson, etc.

 

This is like a conundrum ( big word )... I love watching Football, especially Steeler Football...But I won't even be able to enjoy it... I'll be holding my breath, hoping nobody gets hurt...That's no way to watch Football

 

One series for starters will be enough if they are not gong to play their starters.

 

So ATL saw what happened to the Bills starters and didn't want to go into the season on a bad note. We're back!

 

That sucks. Then again, the only real drama tonight is if everyone can get through healthy, so maybe this gets the starters out safely a little sooner than expected.

 

Huge Game tonight pretty much will determine if we are contenders or pretenders. LFG!!

 

The most energized I've felt for a Steeler season since Ben came into the game rookie year. Just seems like a lot of pieces are in place.

Hoping to not see calls for McFarland up the middle on short yardage.

 

Maybe put some alcohol on it?

 

Me as well, I know the need a rhythm thing, but the risk just is not worth it. Honestly now sure what you gain with the opener not for 2 weeks yet.

NFL Network just said the starting offense will play 3 series.

When we had 4 preseason games they played a series in the first game, a quarter in the second, and a half in the third. So it’s not exactly new

 

Man I just don't understand why they keep giving this scrub chance after chance

 

Why? Just Why? You're trusting him to protect Kenny against ATL's guys trying to make a name for themselves?

 

I mean you’re not wrong, but still don’t think it’s necessary. Just feel like the worst case scenario trumps any potential increase in timing / flow.
