Biggest Question Marks going into the Season

1. Najee Harris - Is he fast enough to hit the hole? Is he the right RB for this system? They need to light a fire under him if at very least threaten him with less playing time.

2. Will we have the courage to cut Green and get a reliable Center in at backup?

3. Does Pat Pete still have it and will JPJ turn out to be good as we expect him to be?

4. Was it mistake resigning Ogunjobi to a long term contract?

5. Can we get Leal in the weight room and commit him to the DT position and the 3 Tech so we don’t stunt his development in being a Tweener?

6. Matt Canada Weekly Game Plan? Lets see what the whole play book looks like this year and lets see him be bold and aggressive in calling plays.

7. Tomlins usage of Players to minimize injuries and keep them fresh for late in the season.

 

Let me see if I can answer your questions good sir!!!


1.) Yes. Najee has shown he is capable of smashing in between the tackles. Now, the frequency of it has not been what to expect from a First Round Pick... but he is very much capable of doing so. That said, that proverbial fire you mentioned is already there in Jaylen Warren. Should Najee continue to produce inefficient results?!... the Steelers do have a fail safe option in Warren.


2.) Without. A. DOUBT! Who knows?! Perhaps right after the Falcons game if he has another performance like that. For that matter, Green's spot on the Final 53 is all but gone as Spencer Anderson saw Center snaps in the closing mins of the game against Buffalo. I expect this to continue against Atlanta for enough is enough.


3.) Yes for Pat Pete. While I wouldn't personally place him in consistent Man Coverage, I do believe P2 is still very much going to be a rock solid contributor for this team; tying into your second part of this question. So far so good for JPJ! One more great outing against Atlanta should confirm that he will be... though his performance in Buffalo was great!


4.) It does seem so on the surface. However, I will let this one play out... for now. Should this continue to be a problem during the Regular Season?! Without a doubt.


5.) The better question is what the hell is DeMarvin Leal anyways?! He is still one of the most baffling picks in the Kevin Colbert era; a player who seemingly does not have a position. Between me and you, having him drop weight to become an EDGE would be ideal but the issue is Isaiahh Loudermilk is not much of a pass rushing threat. Leal has superior upside than Isaiahh at this point but by how much still remains to be seen.


6.) Weekly Game Plan?! I hope not. I hope he continues to evolve. While what we have been seeing has been great... it is still insufficient evidence to conclude that Canada has finally arrived as an Offensive Play Caller.


7.) As Tomlin often says, injuries are just as much of the game as blocking and tackling. Any player can get hurt sadly. Hell, the Patriots vs. Packers Game was suspended after Isaiah Bolden was carted off being motionless after nearly 10 mins.

 

I think these were all great questions and none can really be answered with any certainty (or homerism) yet as I can tell.

Except Najee - Yes he can. But for me, the real question is - is Warren actually the better back?
