Steelers were playing really poor ball that time last season and didn’t have Watt, it was one of KP’s first games as well, it would have been much closer if they had played later in the season I think

All I said was that they have an average roster outside of the QB position, Diggs is very good but will be 30 very soon, Kincaid and Cook and completely unproven, White has struggled to get back after injury and guys like Poyer, Miller and Murray have their best ball behind them and their two tackles are a liability. They were really strong in recent seasons but have had a few poor drafts and their team is ageing out. They’ll still make the playoffs but are they serious contenders?

Well Moore came to play and has excepted the challenge and is playing above the line. Broderick Jones still needs to improve before taking the spot and has been slightly disappointing.

All the more reason the AFC East is far more up for grabs than the major media pundits are letting on. Buffalo lost a major share of talent during the Offseason and as we as Steelers Fans know, good Offensive Line play does not grow on trees. Josh Allen cannot do it alone.

That all said though, Josh Allen and the Bill's are still very much a threat in the Conference. Don't sell the Bills short despite the talent difference. As you said, whatever Offensive Weaknesses that the Bill's have, Josh Allen more than makes up for the weaknesses that Buffalo currently has; in more ways than any other QB ever could.. Mahomes included. Why?!

As far as I am concerned, Josh Allen is the beat Dual Threat QB in the league. Add in his Big Ben esque penchant for shrugging off even Defensive Lineman and/or multiple defenders and that adds to the insane difficulty just trying to game plan against him. He is a massive pain in the ass. If anything... he is their entire Offense. Now, Mahomes is still the best QB in the league but Allen has a major point of debate in terms of value alongside him.

Within the framework of a division, you look at the Jets and Miami and on paper see a very formidable challenge for the Bills. That paper can be torn to shreds very quickly if their QB's under perform or get injured. As you stated Allen alone keeps the Bills in the hunt, and as a long season progresses sometimes the end goal is just to get to the dance. Experience alone won't get you there, but having a QB like Allen will always keep you in the hunt as long as you are eligible.

    Yep.

Buffalo may have suffered a talent drain this Offseason. In addition, a massive concern that @SteelersFanIrl@SteelersFanIrl alluded to is not having Von Miller severely cripples this Pass Rush. However, Josh Allen literally covers so damn much for the Bills that more often than not, it is irrelevant.

In Irl's defense though, Playoff Time is when such problems like the aforementioned ones I listed do become relevant. Never mind that though for as you stated, Josh Allen getting hurt wrecks the Bills playoff chances.

.... Given how aggressive and how much of a Devil May Care playstyle Allen has, I have a bad feeling regarding him. Naturally, I don't wish injury to any player on any team. However, Allen's playing style is just inviting that possibility.

Mind you, he got injured earlier in Training Camp a couple weeks ago. Prior to that, a UCL Sprain during the Bill's playoff push in 2022. Thr previous injury is not something to worry about anymore but the repeated nicks and bruises that are being reported from Bills Training Camp is something to be monitored.

I was actually thinking of Tua and Rodgers when I thought of injury, lol, but Allen more so. The Jets drafted some decent pieces, then brought in some dynamic names to win a championship. It may work, but the major thing is their O line sucks.

The Bills may not be ready to start the season...I mean, it's scary when you have 12 penalties in the first half!!...They have work to do, especially it was also a problem in their first preseason game.Important to have good habits even in the preseason

In all honesty, all the Offensive Lines of the AFC East are bad. For my predictions regarding the AFC East, it is a lot less of who will win the Division. It is a lot more of which Offensive Line will stink the least in the Division.

If the Jets o-line is not bad(this is a big if) and Rodgers is still very good(I think it will be the case) I think they will have a good chance to win the AFC east...But their o-line scare me like crazy!

Aaron Rodgers has already made a point about it during a press conference earlier this week. Even on Hard Knocks, Robert Saleh went out of his way to point out how bad the Offensive Line play has been. Never mind Aaron Rodgers being on the hot seat in 2023.

Robert Saleh may have a much warmer seat than the Jets Fan Base is letting on. If he does not get this Jets Squad into the playoffs?!?!... Man oh man..

Rodgers himself is scary, so far it looks like he has bought in, invested in proving something and getting involved. I do not doubt he still has 'it' to a very good degree, but the media on NYC is not like GB. The expectations are high, if they start out slow or just under perform and a media storm starts, will 'that' Rodgers show up??? I honestly do not know, but you build a team on 'reformed' egos, that reformation project can prove to be fragile.

    Can Prove To Be Fragile?!

That team may implode on itself if things go South due to that New York Media!! As you said, the New York Media is colossally cut throat. Any mistake made by this team will have Rodgers, Saleh and the Jets dragged into the mud; face first and possibly staying there until further notice!

I do not think Rodgers is on any hot seat, he so far has bought in, if things go south he is a guy who could easily sit in a dark tent smoking his crazy crap and get the vision to retire..lol. Saleh is the one who organized this, so yea if it falls apart he is the one holding the burnt cards.

I watched the Titans backups maul the Vikings on the ground last night. The Vikings did not look good at all especially on D so that would seem to prove that theory wrong lol.

Diggs may be thirty but he was fifth in the nfl last year with 1400 plus yards. Buffalo was 2nd in terms of total yards in 2022 . Second only to KC. If Buffalo is average we need to have some of that production and average type play in Pittsburgh lol

Not freaking out about it but take away some of the penalties and our 1st team pass defense wasn't great.....as usual.

I didn’t think our backups looked that impressive. Outside of the big run by Warren, our running game averaged less than one YPC. That’s pathetic. Our backups, offensively and defensively , were manhandled by their backups on the goal line. Our starters outperformed their starters, that’s why we won the game.

All of You put the Bills on freaking pedestal....like they have won multiple SBs. They went to one AFC Championship, and lost. Yes they beat us last year, but we beat them the year before. I know I'm in the minority, but I still don't see what everyone sees in J. Allen outside of His strong arm.

    14-0 with the starters
    13-15 with the backups

I guess you’re right, there’s definitely reason for optimism, I think the team is on the rise. I would just temper my enthusiasm for a preseason game. No one has broken open the playbooks yet.

I think they’ll be better than last year, we just don’t know how good the other teams will be yet. They could be better also, or worse. Definitely reason for optimism, I think we’ve found our franchise qb, and the defense looks shored up (as well as the O line).

Maybe I’ve gone through a decade of high expectations and lofty predictions (by a lot of people) with Ben and co and the results were disappointing
