Wow that’s more fans than a playoff game typically has.

neither QB played with or against first units. hard to judge how they would play in a real game with starters from these preseason games. we don't need mason getting hurt jumping on a meaningless fumble in the preseason. the problem was the guy that snapped it back there. let's start with him.

    I can’t answer

I’ve never seen NBA regular season’s

And it has nothing to do with the fact I’m short slow and pasty white

How do you know it wasn’t Mason who screwed up

Green was actually having a good game

We've seen Rudolph start for this team before. We've seen his training camps and his preseason games for 6 seasons. I think I have a pretty good read on him.

Make no mistake. I'm not bashing the guy. He is just limited in what he can do, and he goes through periods where he struggles like he did last night.

If you didn't see the game, I don't understand how you are questioning what I saw from Rudolph last night.

Breiden Fehoko’s father was sitting in front of me being the excited and proud papa

None the less he is one large scary looking guy with a bald head and a curly Mohawk

Might I add that it also doesn't help when the Center cannot either snap nor sustain blocks worth a damn. Mason may not be a starting caliber QB but it is difficult to place a large amount of blame on him when he is continually under siege.

Hopefully Nate Herbig can get good enough before the Season starts! For that matter, a good enough backup Center option is available during cut-down day.

mason was looking to the receiver and didn't call for the ball when it was snapped and no green was not having a good game up until then. green may have had a couple of good plays but most are not. i watch him quite closely. the goal line plays were really bad. the snap and the penalty were just icing on the poor performance overall.

I understand that. I was identifying mistakes by Rudolph. On the two passes that were almost intercepted, Rudolph wasn't hit when he threw the ball. On the pass that should have been a pick-6, his pocket was clean. He looked that way and let the pass go. All on Rudolph.

Sure, the fumble was probably on Green. But Rudolph's mistake was not just falling on it. He's not athletic enough to make those plays. So while the fumble itself and the snap may not have been on him, the bad decision to not fall on the ball instead of trying to pick it up certainly is. That's all I'm saying.

The sad part is that Big Ben had to play almost an entire season behind that....and everyone was calling for his head or telling him to retire. Ben was playing behind him with starting defenses coming at him. Try doing that? :lolol:

that was clearly a didn't see that guy situation. it happens to the best of them. with big tall bodies flying all around sometimes a player can be screened out of his sight picture. that was the guy that almost picked it. it happens from ground level.

The biggest people though to blame for Kendrick Green doesn't actually befall him. That blame must be placed at the feet of Tomlin, Adrian Klemm, Kevin Colbert and AR 2. Each of them are responsible for why Kendrick Green never panned out. Think about it for a second.

A Rookie with less than 500 Snaps accounted for are arguably the most important position on the Offensive Line?!?! Yeah... very nice.. I cannot wait. Actually.., on that note.

Hey @Blast Furnace, why did we both end up talking ourselves into believing that would work?!?!?:drinks::lolol:

I've said that passing on Creed Humphrey and picking this guy because they thought they just found the next great Steelers center may be the worst talent evaluation of the Kevin Colbert era. They really believed this kid was going to be great. I feel sorry for the kid. He is doing the best he can, he is simply overmatched.

You are correct. All he can do is go out and try to play. The people that put him in that position failed him and have put the people playing behind him at risk.
