So this is what my buddy said after I texted him about the Steelers taking the Bills to the woodshed. So if that is the case why does Buffalo suck so badly hahahah

Steelers first team offense and defense put on a clinic. Let's hope they perform this good against the 49ers who are better than the Bills on defense, but not as good on offense.

    This.

Nick Bosa will be one hell of a litmus test for Dan Moore. Granted, Nick is still not signed yet. However, I expect that to change at the 11th hour leading up to Week 1.

Bills had a bad game. Penalties and mistakes kills teams.

Perhaps this is an omen of the infamous "Madden Curse?!"

Hmm... not too sure about that but given that this is year two of Ken Dorsey's Offense, this tune up game was not what I had expected.

I am glad the team didn't appear to suffer any major injuries.

Steelers have the speed and power now. It’s up to the coaches to put on a good game plan.

Some of the penalties were just sloppy. Some were forced by the Steelers, such as the hold that wiped out a big pass play for the Bills. Golden beat his man, forcing him to hold.

All it does now is piss the Bills off if you have to see them later.

And make me that much closer to coughing up the money to YouTube tv for the NFL package!

    Agreed.

That said, not seeing Keeanu Benton stung a bit there.

Our backups just looked better than their backups. That’s all this game really showed.

I guess you missed the first six possessions of the game. That is what your post really showed.

Most starters were out after the first couple possessions. Even with starters in there, doesn’t mean that much. Playbooks are not really used, no in depth prep during the week against … drumroll …. starters, like there is during the reg season. Preseason is just an evaluation of backups and starters on the bubble - like Moore.

You claimed that it only demonstrated the Steelers backups were better than those of the Bills. The part of the game that the Steelers dominated was when they built a 14-0 lead and held it through the end of the Bills' third possessions. Most of the starters were in there for those drives on both teams. Your opinions would carry a lot more weight if you didn't have your facts wrong and refuse to admit as much when it is pointed out to you.

Of course, it looks different in the regular season. Playbooks are more complex and teams have time to make adjustments. That doesn't change the fact that your post was factually wrong,

Your reading comprehension sucks. And your reasoning is kind of infantile.

Come on man. Allen and the starters were in there for a full quarter. Steelers Defense was starters for most of that minus Porter.

Pickett and the Steelers starting O were in there for 2 possessions. McDermitt was so mad at how his team was performing that he left many in for a half! Porter was on Diggs at times.

now I get not getting super hype about it, but they are showing much more proficiency than all of last year and that warrants a little optimism.

Precisely what I was thinking. It was like watching the last 7 games of the year or at the very least KFP winning the last three games in the last few minutes of a game.

So Josh Allen was not intending to complete passes or move his team down the field because it was preseason ? Sure the plays were perhaps vanilla but I aint buying they were trying to score and if they were trying to score and could not that bodes well for our defense no?

It’s nice to look good at this stage but preseason means nothing really. I would not be getting overly excited until we see progress in the regular season.

I would also question the quality of the opponents. Allen is great but the rest of that roster is very ordinary now, a lot of ageing players and their Oline is a bottom 10 unit. I do t think it’s a massive stretch to say that the Steelers have a better roster outside of QB than the Bills. Their fans seem to think they are contenders for the big prize. Unless Allen goes absolutely nuclear in the postseason I really don’t think they are.

Buffalo trounced the Steelers last year and as for personnel they have Allen, Murray, Diggs Kincaid, Johnson and Cook. Not a bad group at all. Week 5 last year Bills 38 Steelers 3

We seen when Allen went nuclear in the postseason and they still could not get past Mahomes.
