    1. I know they aren't getting blitzed much, but the offense dominated the bills starting defense

    2. Likewise, our defense dominated the bills starting offense

    3. I knew Jaylen Warren had a quick burst, but that 62yd td run was a thing of beauty

    4. The difference in Kenny Pickett the rookie and Kenny Pickett now is like night and day

    5. Nick Herbig is seriously making a case to be a much more regular part of the rotation

    6. If anyone didn't know it yet, they've got to know it now..... Kendrick green has exhausted his chances on the o-line.... don't be surprised to see him make the practice squad as a full-time fb convert

    7. Yes, Joey Porter Jr had plenty of help from the pass rush, but a closer look will still show perfect positioning whether the pass was good or not

    8. Calvin Austin may very well be the most electric utility man in the NFL

    9. Speaking of Austin..... I think he just made Gunner irrelevant

    10. A quick look at the Stat sheet would be very misleading for Presley Harvin.. his 5 punts for a 38 yd Ave don't tell the whole story. Each of his 5 punts landed inside the 20 with only one being returned for a paltry 2 yds

The Bills didn't really get off the bus. If I was Bill supporter, I would be very worried. Their window
    may have CLOSED.

When will the Steelers move on from the Kendrick Green project. This guy has not gotten better. How much more do they need to see.

    offense scores on it's own.

defense gives the ball back to them and offense scores.

    just how it's drawn up.

defense frustrates offenses with playmakers coming from everywhere.

playmakers creating havoc for offenses and getting the ball back.

    just how it's drawn up.

special teams limiting other teams returns and punts.

special teams giving the offense field position.

    just how it's drawn up.

backups not as a unit but as individuals doing some good things.

those same backups will get playing time as subs.

    just how it's drawn up.

    what's not to like?

It’s preseason AND Herbig was held out as a precaution and to help his shoulder heal more.

Green did much better BUT still stinks at center. I really hate this, wasted 3rd rd pick.

As usual well done on the thoughts for week 2 pre season addition blackandgoldpatrol

Warren seems to adjust well to an opening and blasts through it. I do have concerns about Harris and his vision. Were in good hands with Warren and he has to get more work in the regular season.

Austin III is showing us he is healthy and the speed demon he is.

Broderick Jones is not quite ready for prime time yet. Moore has risen to the challenge and is playing quite well.

How much more garbage are can we consume watching Kendrick Green? He is simply horrible. And spare me the whole guard talk couldn't make it on the field last season. What a colossal mistake by Colbert and Tomlin.

The replay of TJ Watt getting TRIPLE teamed goes to show the respect for the best defensive player in the NFL and the monster he is.

Nick Herbig has that dip coming around the edge, a quick burst the tackles just can't engage. The kid needs to get some playing time in the regular season. Golden is no slouch either. Finally were set at the edge position.

The total change at the ILBer position is a breath of fresh air. Only took a few years and Khan and Weidl.

Like what I saw sans a few. GO Steelers...

    Harvin played well

He played well last year based on what they ask him to do although there was some inconsistency

I think what we saw was mostly about us, not as much about the Bills.

The steelers have been great yesterday but the Bills had way too many penalties in the first half...12 penalties in the first half to be exact and it was also a problem last week in their first preseason game!!!

Harvin's last punt boomed, he had a very successful night. Looks like he lost some belly, but the love handles still need some work. Subtle note of interest. on at least one PAT Mitch was the holder. Might mean nothing, might have been a just in case thing, but enough to get the rumors flowing lol.

He is stupid fast. One step, gone. Someone pointed out in the GDT after he caught a slant that he can be a real nightmare on those plays. You get one shot in the flat at him and if you miss, it's all over.

Took pride in the all world centers Steelers have had over the years. Now, not so much. I would love for Kenny to have a top dog smacking the ball into his hands.

It was a tale of three offenses. The first offense was phenomenal for 4 minutes, with the downside being, as Tomlin noted at halftime, that, due to the two big plays and the short field on the second possession, we didn't see very much open field work. Then the second team offense was a replay of what we've seen the last 3 years, some big plays, some nice work, but disjointed and generally ineffective, throwing for five yards when they needed eight, 15 when they needed 19, only managing to eke out a touchdown in the last seconds of the quarter after, what, six? tries from the 1 yard line. Then the third team was Rudolph looking like the big old dog in a pile of puppies, running the plays they gave him to evaluate the new guys.Defense was crushing, and when it comes time to trim the roster to 53, a lot of teams are going to be scarfing up D guys the Stiller's let go.

I kind of disagree, Mitch did nothing to gain great attention, but with the line he was had he did just what your B/u should do with a 14 pt lead. Dink and dunk away all year, if he can come out going 10-13 and a 116 QBR as a back up he did his job. The play calling and players on the 1 yard line were not his fault and a complete joke. MrFarland trying to become a power back up the clogged middle behind Green and no lead blocker???? I honestly do not expect much out of Mitch (or any back up), except keep the team in the game, or if behind get with striking distance if your D can hold.

Having to play Green at C and not using him at FB at the 1 yard line instead if McFarland. I mean if we are supposed to get excited about a 300 pound RB let us see him in action, lol

Oh yeah I gotta say Trubisky, like Rudolph, was just generally, competently, safely executing what they sent in, with the tools they gave him. But there oughta be a stats for dump-offs and for throwing to the shallow receiver when the deep one is open. And I hate the ages-old Steelers philosophy of trying to doink and bonk yer way to holding onto a 14 point lead for 3 quarters. When ya got the upper hand, put points on the board. Otherwise ya beat up the O players and keep the D on the field too much.
