I have two things on my wish list for tonight but I'm afraid they might be mutually exclusive. One is I want to see Pickett pass to somebody else besides Johnson, Pickens and Calvin Austin. Especially I want to see a lot of Washington and Robinson. But I would also really like to see both Trubisky and Rudolph pass to all those guys. Maybe between this week and next I'll get my wish. Make that three things on my wish list. I want to see Pickett run two possessions and then get off the field without getting hurt.

It's just basically a near certainty that at some point the Steelers are going to be without Pickett on the field sometime this season. And in summary, I contend that the reason they lost six games without Watt last year was not the fact that Watt wasn't there.

Hmmmmmm, I can see both sides of the coin but Watt being out makes HUGE difference for opposing offense. Watt pretty much closes his side down. Offensive coordinators have to like making a game plan knowing Watt is a non factor.

I do agree Pickett won't be injury free. And I am probably only poster that would want Mason at #2.

Hmm. I would have sworn that Brady and Stafford won a SB not even 5 years ago.

That's all I'm getting at. Of course I'd like a Qb to be able run when that's the only option, but give Me one that can read the D, process quickly, and throw a guy open 1st ,and foremost. The rest is icing on the cake.

You did not read the last part.....if your QB isn’t mobile, he better be brilliant & extremely

Who is now the best QB who is not mobile right now?

Sure the mobile quarterbacks get lots of points out of it but I'd like to have seen them try that twinkle toes s*** before the Mel Blount rule. I guess it goes back to those days when Dad used to take me downtown to watch the Steelers from wooden bleacher seats playing for $40,000 a year. I like the smash mouth stuff. I like knowing that when a team goes to the AFC North, they may win or they may lose, but they're going to lose next week cuz they got beat up.

Well it really depends on what You call mobile, but Mahomes, and Burrow are the best two right now, and neither are the most mobile in the NFL ....not even close. You can add all of Mahomes rushing yards together , and they don’t compare with one season of Lamar, or some of the other guys. Hell Mahomes 40 time is slower than Mason Rudolph, or Bens.

I consider a QB who can extend play mobile...Some are different but this is still a mobile QB.Roethlisberger when he was younger,he had not many rushing yards but he was still mobile since he was great to extend play

So every Qb that ever played when young was mobile???? Since they all ....including P. Manning ran when they were young.

Pokey as they may be, Mahomes and Burrow scramble for some serious yardage.I got to say Matt Stafford is probably the best active quarterback with no wheels at all. But as much as I'd hate to see Pickett banned from scrambling at all, I'd hate to see him pressed into more mobile of a role than that to what she's acclimated. Too easy to get hurt. Press him into the pocket. I don't want him ending up on the heap with Donovan Mcnabb, Mcnair, Slash, and Jackson's heading that way.

Dude I have watch all of Ben's career. I've been watching since the 70s, and I've had NFL Sunday Ticket since 1997. Do not forget Mannings huge scramble to beat the Pats in the playoffs in 2016.....or these....anyone can scramble of they want, but a real Qb it's their last resort. Even still ask Mahomes, or Burrow

Even when he was 50 or 90 or whatever the heck he was when he quit, Big Ben could still scramble for 10 yards when he needed to. The key thing is he didn't get hit when he did it.

Two things certain in life: Death and STD does not like running QB's. :)

I am in agreement. QB's want to be runners they should have been RB's. While it is a HUGE advantage having a mobile QB, it should only be used when no other option. Running QB's and injuries are best friends. Maybe that bum in Kansas City changed my mind just a tad but I'm pretty sure if he was not as mobile he'd still light it up.

IMO Pickett could be a nice mix. Has mobility, but any QB would seem to have mobility after what we have watched the past few years, and at 25 decent maturity. Should he be the man I'm thinking we got 8-9 years of Kenny being Kenny before father time does what the prick does.

Yet you were pushing Dalton as a better backup option. Oops.

Allen is supposed to play at least a quarter. What a golden opportunity for the people vying for linebacker, safety and CB jobs to play behind the Steelers upper DL and show their stuff. I will be happy if I don't see a known starting OLB step onto the field tonight.
