I was far more worried about Moore than I was Chuls entering the first Preseason Game. Now... that has changed. I do give YaYa Diaby credit though for he will be doing that to a lot of opposing Tackles but Chuks' inability to handle speed to power still remains a massive problem. Granted... Dan Moore Jr hasn't fared too much better but there were signs of improvement on Friday.


Should Broderick Jones continue the upward swing like I think he can by the time the Regular Season rolls around... perhaps Jones and Moore could be a possibility.

Yep. Last year I said Moore could end up being RT and a few told me I had no clue. Let's watch.

Odd. Moore did play Right Tackle at Texas A&M.... though that was his Freshman Season; some time ago.

This is what was missing under Jerry-O, their job is the running back and they are tracking him and getting after him. No more jumping a gap to get blocked, they are attacking and getting after the back.

I guess we know nothing until there is a statement, but with the cut coming all in one day makes me wonder if Omar is scouting some possible trade options?? They can't be serious on Green, know nothing about McCollum, but depth is an issue there.

Word is he is having a decent camp, they really like his versatility, but is he ready???? Injuries may force him to be ready.

 

I/ve read your posts and thoughts about the whole situation with him and I agree, at this point though there has to be a reality check on C play. He was pushed back like a rag doll Friday night, I question even at G at this point, but that one series was brutal to watch.

Word was Sunday he was killing it at FB, I just hope they do not get cute with this. If they keep him for that role then someone else gets cut. Gentry did some fine blocking on the sweeps, that is what you lose..it may even out, but at FB I'm just seeing a guy that gets a couple snaps a game.

 

Kendrick Green better somehow, someway, improve as being a Center or never mind being able to play Full Back... Green might be out of a job soon.

Way to early for draft talk, but as Omar and Andy continue to build this team I think C could very much be in play for round 1 or 2.

Sedrick Van Pran from the University of Georgia or Bryce Foster from Texas A&M are excellent choices. Zach Fraizer is another. That said though, the aforementioned three?!?!....

... this is more or less the upcoming 2024 Draft Class for Centers thus far for me. Others simply don't cut it sadly.

 

not sure next year is the year. cole is only 27. they need to do some re-signing or extensions on a couple of guys. there may be a draft pick of one but i don't think in the first. not for a backup center.

 

By 2025, Cole will be a Free Agent. 2024 should be a good opportunity to at least give the position some consideration for even average Center play is very difficult to obtain. Great Centers?!?!


Good luck finding those! Not saying either or are but if there is an upgrade to be made, Kahn has shown he is not opposed to upgrading a spot if it needs it.

 

Early talk from different circles is that the 24 draft class will be deep in several different key positions, plus whoever has break out seasons, thus the Steelers should get a goood prospect when drafting at 32...lol
