This is very important to remain respectful and civil with the others even when we disagree with someone. You are unable to respect this rule, it's not hard to understand, especially my tweet was just an example but you lost your mind and derail the thread for nothing!

Dude, then do just that. Honestly it seems most your post are argumentative over one small post by another member.

98% of all DJ receptions in his career he ran the wrong direction after the catch.

For starters, I'm not a dude. I have a name and it's real.

My posts are argumentative because i've been defending myself since post #1. If it was, in your opinion, then please tell me WHY the other posters can't stop discussing it? I'm willing to move on. But I'm not going to enjoy constant references to something that was entirely meaningless.

DJ has issues trying to get a step on defenders. He's not running "wrong". His moving backwards isn't because he's shying from contact. He's looking for space to accelerate. I can understand him doing this. If the idea of what he's doing is wrong, I can assure you Tomlin would have jumped in his ---- long ago and benched him.

His numbers are what they are. He's had problems since Day 1. Could be a few reasons. He takes his eyes off the ball....concentration. He tenses up when the ball's in the air. He's lazy. I'm going to go with the lack of concentration. I have some experience catching a football. You can get into ruts sometimes and battle the ball. To me, it was temporary. For a guy like him, I don't know. Maybe he's thinking of what he's going to do before he has the ball in his hands? I don't know?

We are all very impressed that you have some experience catching a football, Ernie. Of course, none of us has ever done so, so please, tell us more.

That said, I think he runs crisp routes. Seems to have not much difficulty separating on shorter routes. But his position requires him to catch every catchable ball. I don't think he has much wiggle room left to work out the problem.

Man, you are one salty, defensive, "dude". I didn't even come after you. Legitimately asking what you're so worked up about. The reference to leading men was in response to you asking more than once if the person you're responding to had ever coached or been a leader. Trying to save you the trouble of asking.
Take a breath, my guy. We're not even in season yet.

Also, and I may be wrong here, but hasn't red zone efficiency been a problem with this team in recent years, not just last year? If it is a continual problem, doesn't it need to be continually addressed?

If you're going to use kid comments, I'm going to respond in kind.

I'm "defensive"? Oh, that's rich. If someone challenges me in whatever way, I'll certainly respond.....always have. If you have football to debate, by all means, bring it on. Otherwise, I'm not going to address you in any way.

Red Zone efficiency has been a problem for some time. When the field gets compressed, "trickery" isn't that effective. It's mostly man-on-man up front, my guy can whip your guy. Plus, you're much more likely to see MORE LBs. They'll play Quarters to take away open spots. That means the D-backfield is split into 4 quarters with a specific DB assigned to a particular quarter. So it's incumbent on the QB to be quick, decisive, and accurate in the RZ. Not much room down there.

Lastly, as with any plan, it's all up to execution, or lack thereof. If you can do your job, good things happen. If not, you hope for a FG.
