Any more Mike Wallace haters? Sure Wallace has been bad and sometimes awful this year but what would you expect from a guy making $2 million dollars. Atleast Wallace plays like what you'd expect out of a $2mil receiver while your $42 MILLION DOLLAR HERO has now fumbled two games down the drain for us. Oakland and now Dallas. Did I mention he ran out of bounds under 2 min warning?

Hes only making two cause he turned down 55 million. He has the speed the talent but no drive

I still would keep Brown over Wallace any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Sorry, but while Wallace made some good plays today, it wasn't nearly enough to redeem him.

Lol, so Wallace gets a pass because he only makes 2 mil? That's great. Hopefully after all his drops or bobbled catches Tomlin pulls him aside and says, 'Don't worry about it big guy, you only make $2 million, we don't expect you to catch balls that hit you in the hands.' You are right though, Brown at $5 is overpaid. Tomlin is by far the dumbest coach in the NFL and his players reflect that. No one has ever accused him of be a football mind. He's a great motivator and players love him but he's no Belicheat. And the fact that he's not smart, he's got a team full of retards that constantly make dumb plays and at this level, dumb plays cost you ballgames against legendary programs like the Chiefs, Raiders, Browns and Chargers.

What was Wallace supposed to do on the INT. Number 1 : The ball was behind him. and Number 2. If you think running a route especially a sideline out route at full speed slowing down adjusting to a poorly thrown ball then pry the ball out of the defenders hands is easy, just try it.

He throws his hand up and puts on a drama to make it look like hes trying. Pass wasnt that bad, he almost knocked it down. To be the fastest man in the NFL, he couldnt catch to make a tackle. And the only reason hes making $2mil is bc he turned down $10 mil.

I would bet he ran the route wrong.

I'm still a Wallace hater, but Brown had an awful showing today too.

KDKA in Pittsburgh spoke with Wallace after the game and he admittedly stopped after his route on that INT. He admitted that he should have done more to break up the play ot actually tackle someone ...CASE CLOSED

we all thought the WR's were going to be their strength this year. they have been almost as bad and inconsistant as the oline.

i would go as far as to say the oline is showing better upside than the wr's are right now.

the oline with DeCastro, Pouncey and Beachum and Adams when he gets back look like they could be very good for a while.

that int was completly on Ben, but lets be honest if it wasnt for Ben they wouldnt of even been in that game. he is the offense right now.

the defense played decent, but they still gave up some big plays and they are down to their 4th and 5th corners right now. it was kind of a miracle they even got to OT.

Ben still threw a bad pass, not Wallace's fault.

What did you want Wallace to say? Did we expect him to say yeah it was a terrible throw maybe if Ben put it towards the sideline and not behind my head I would of caught it,he's gotta work on those sideline throws. Is that what Wallace was suppose to say?

Foremost, I never blamed Wallace for the Int. Secondly, Wallace admitted himself that after the Int was thrown he essentially gave up on the play by making no effort to tackle the guy with the ball ...and he obviously didn't. Mike just likes to catch the ball, not be forced to play some defense when needed. Do you think Hines Ward would have just stood there after that Int ?

Whats wrong with you people ? As a pro athlete you should never give up on a play, no matter if its on Offense or Defense. I didn't expect Mike to say any of those absurd quotes you posted above. KDKAS Bob Pompeani asked Mike Wallace if he could have made an effort to play some Defense after Bens Int and he "admitted" that he gave up on the play by stopping after the Int. It's not rocket science.

Well as the Chief "hater" on the board I'm gonna tell you this. Wallace STOOD THERE while the defender LAID ON THE GROUND in ot. Did you not notice that he DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE BALL HAD BEEN PICKED? Did you see his "fastest receiver in the NFL" speed on the pursuit of Carr? He didn't even TRY to catch him. The guy is soft. Yeah he had some garbage td's against SD. But so did AB. AB needs to get his head out of his butt! I'm not forgiving ANYTHING he's done. The way I was yelling at him during the game my wife said "well I'm glad I didn't get you HIS jersey for Christmas!" NEITHER of them play with discipline. NEITHER!

I hate Wallace. I hated him last year too. He does some things very, very well, but those things are few and far between and I don't believe those things will allow our offence to be consistently good. So yes, I want him gone and I've wanted him gone for years.

With that said, I don't blame him for the game ending INT. I don't believe he could have prevented the INT from happening. He was breaking toward the sideline and I just don't think he could stop his momentum. Could he have caught Carr after he picked off the ball? Hard to say. It sure looked like it especially when you consider how fast Wallace is, but it's impossible to know for sure.

What I do know is I don't have different expectations from a guy who is making $2 million as opposed to $20 million. The game doesn't change regardless of how much you make, so why should the quality of play? Wallace doesn't get a pass from me because he played like a $2 million WR, whatever the hell that even means. Brown doesn't get more blame because he makes a lot of money. They both get blamed when they make mistakes. how much they make doesn't matter to me in the least

Goodbye and good riddance to Wallace after this year. AB should be ashamed of his PATHETIC performance today. The fact of the matter is that the Steelers DO NOT HAVE a number one receiver at this moment.

Agreed! Wallace has been getting heat on here for sometime, but our entire receiving corps has been playing like garbage this year. Wallace has blown opportunities, Brown has cost us games, and Sanders drops as many balls as Wallace, except he catches them first.

I'd still like to keep Wallace. Even when he's playing with half a brain like he has been this year, he's worth a couple million per year. But unless he gets his head screwed on straight AND we start using him right (he has been used horribly by Haley, in my opinion), he certainly won't be worth the money he will be able to fetch elsewhere.

The bright side? At least we'll probably get a 3rd round comp pick for him, which is pretty sweet considering he was a 3rd round pick. And we were worried about keeping Sanders, but I can't imagine him demanding too much money after his apparent efforts to be the first NFL receiver ever to finish a season with a 1:1 catch/fumble ratio.
