Sean Payton:Nathaniel Hackett might have done "one of the worst coaching jobs in NFL history

He's probably not wrong

 

He was awful from the start

We lived in Denver for years. My son is a Broncos fan and he hated Hackett as a coach. He had zero control over the team. Payton will fix that but I'm not sure how much talent is left there. I hope they have a good year and lose to us in the AFC championship game

 

My son born and raised in Philly country but I made sure he was a Steeler fan.

It's just really unprofessional.

 

Two things can be true here:


1.) Nathaniel Hackett was way in over his head. However, that is not all on him for the Broncos initially wanted Aaron Rodgers. Given the history between Hackett and Rodgers, Denver opted to go for Hackett first then attempt to nab Rodgers. Sadly for Denver, it did not work out that way; a Head Coach who was truly lost overall for the whole season.


2.) Sean Payton might wanna relax on his own fair for the dramatic here. Mind you that this is the very same Sean Payton that received a One Year Suspension by the NFL for BountyGate; Gregg Williams being his accomplice. While Hackett couldn't work out as a Head Coach.... Payton's major black mark in League History is far more damning.


I do agree with the consensus that the Broncos vs. the Jets in Week 5 will be must watch TV though!!
