da beard used to come riding on fire trucks or heavy machinery. some came in rented sports cars.

 

He who shall not be named showed up in a rolls one year. Think it was a helicopter the next

Franco had to get a ride

He gave his signing bonus to his mother and didn’t own a car

He would walk from his house on the north side to the stadium for games and practice

 

At some point once the Italian army got started I would like to think a limo with a rider who said' ;Franco. let me give you a ride you cannot refuse" came into action.

I'm riding a bike across Iowa this week for Ragbrai. People say Iowa is flat. They've never ridden a bike across it.

 

Better you than me.

Valleys

I thought someone might ask

All of the local area was at one time a lake bottom and fairly flat

Then glaciers came down bringing a lot of debris and then melting

Depending on ice dams breaking and the amount of water soil erosion happened and valleys of various depth were created

If you get up on a high point in Pittsburgh like Mount Washington and look around all of the other high points are basically the same elevation

Unlike the Rocky Mountains caused by two plates pushing together Pittsburgh had erosion

Therefore Pittsburgh does not have hills it has valleys
