I boxed for years and coached boxing for many more and although Bell is very raw he does show some potential. He has elite hand speed, good conditioning, not bad defense and has the advantage of being a better athlete than most people he will fight. He'll never be a championship contender but he will win 3/4 of his fights just by being a better athlete than just about anyone else he will fight.

Not saying this sarcastically, just reality, Took a lot of physical hits in football from a very young age and this includes head trauma. Having good conditioning and being a good athlete is not going to protect you from the possible damage your brain had already sustained.

From the first time you put on the gloves to spar you are at risk from being seriously injured but that's the risk everyone takes.

I'm just curious about him being a better athlete then his competition. Don't know a lot about Boxing but I would think those guys are as fit and in shape as any NFL player. ???????????????

More fit then Offensive Linemen for sure;) some of those guys look like they'd be so slow moving and then you see how quick a 300+ man can move.

I'm thinking when father time catches up to LB his brains will be similar to scrabbled eggs.

Don't like his jab in round one. He was throwing that like superman. As the rounds went on, he improved. He has defense, but he needs to bring those gloves up. His left showed it was to heavy on him.

He also needs to learn when the other boxer is wanting to cover up, take advantage of it to working the body and etc. Instead of going to hit and wrap up.

As for jmx. Can't believe he was wanting to wrap up in the second like that. That told me right there it was over. And also bull on how his corner did with giving him more time.

No doubt and its up to the individual. Listening to former players, some in their 30's acknowledged that they knew the risks and even now relatively young and experiencing early signs, still would do it again. A couple of players in their 60's were singing quite a different tune. I'm not trying to moralize it, just the reality. The steps taken for safety will likely help, but it does make me pause and think. The Romans loved their blood sports, and cheered at death. Recenty saw a selfie short where a guy posted he just saw a guy stabbed to death, body in background and him smiling. We can codify it as much as we want, we still are pretty savage beings.

Problem is....he leans way past His foot work, and throws way too low. A real fighter would end it fast. Good thing he's not fighting one. Also I hate that He just gets to make money at it Because of His name without having to work His way there.

He's still a rookie as well. He won that first round but got gassed in the second. He needs a lot of Cardio.

Also jmx had a better exhibition boxing record.

That's why a rookie shouldn't be fighting pro, and wouldn't without the name. So they should put a real fighter against Him, and end this farce, but they won't because they are also making money on this.

No doubt he is very raw as a boxer certainly no higher than the novice level but he does show potential because of how fast his hands and feet are.

By better athlete I mean his hands and feet are going to be much faster than probably anyone else he fights. He had the athletic skills to be an All-Pro RB in the NFL. Not too many guys that he will fight will have that type of athleticism.

Maybe he should get in the ring with AB and they can both knock some sense in one another.

If they did fight, I can guarantee more cents than sense would come from it.
