Wow. I didn't realize that. Had not heard that before. That's pretty impressive.

They had a lot of long drives with many plays, but not many points to show for it. If they can find a way to continue possessing the ball and improve the touchdown ratio, the points and victories are going to happen.

And before some knucklehead posts that we didn’t play anyone good in the second half I will point out they were all NFL teams

I still have reservations about Kenny's arm strength. I'm hoping he is the answer to our QB issues for the immediate future but his velocity doesn't seem to be elite to me

Bubby could throw it a mile but had no idea where it was going

Bradshaw could throw 70 yard darts

Good Ben Bad Ben could throw it long

just some random memories, especially after watching some steelers games that showed up on my YT feed from the 70's and 80's. From what I recall Chuck Noll chose to draft Bubby in the 3r round, having no real scouting reports, but when traveling he watched a NE Louisana game with him at QB. As you said he had an canon, and actually had a couple decent years, just was inconsistent.

Watching TB throw was amazing, and watching where he sometimes threw makes me thankful we had the D and running game we had, lol.

Bradshaw's hands were so big that he held his index finger on the point of the football when he threw it. Of course we all tried that when we were playing backyard football only to have the ball flip end over end for a few yards like a weak punt.

One of my dotted line relatives would come home from school and play catch in the back yard with his neighbor Terry

Most QB's do not have elite arm strength, it's rare.

I'm more impressed that in the second half of the season they averaged 146 YPG in the running game, and Pickett only threw one interception .

All the more reason Issac Semaulo and Broderick Jones both will prove their weight in gold (pun intended) come the season; mainly Issac. Broderick can play but I would rather him learn a bit before chucking him out there. NFL EDGEs are a lot sharper (intentional again) than their College counterparts.

This article here is a much better representation of what Kenny Pickett should do for not just year two but also his future as the Steelers QB.

The Steelers offensive line provided the seventh-most time in the pocket in 2022

The offensive line improved from 31st at the beginning of the season to 16th at the end which mathematically indicates they were way above 16th each game in the second half

Stop with that nonsense. The only thing applicable to the Steelers offensive line is they suck

The OL is maybe the best position group competition we’ve had in TC ever. That group from last season played every snap, and improved noticeably over the season. The guys brought in from the draft and FA are looking to win starting roles for this season. This should be fun. When is the last time a team has had 8-10 starting caliber OL?

Their biggest issue usually was the OPP 30 and in. This has been a major flaw in Matt Canada offense.

They would often move the ball down the field but once into the FG range area drives would stall.

You need TD's not FG's especially when you play a Bengals, Chiefs, or Bills teams. You need lots of pts.

I believe only a few of us seen it that way.
Some see a Qb take off, or get sacked, and automatically say....bad OL players. LoL
