NFL Insider Adam Caplan Told WR Calvin Austin Was ‘Terrific’ In OTAs

He was terrific in OTAs last year. Didn't help us much.

 

Just need to stay healthy!

 

He's the most electrifying player when he is on the field but he has to get on the field.

 

Quick. Somebody tell Matt Canada that he has another weapon. I'm sure he would just use him for the wildcat plays only though.

 

Did I mention that OTAs are football in shorts

 

They are, but it is encouraging if Austin was able to show he was back to full health.

 

They need to put that bubble helmet around his entire body! Bubble Boy

 

Be awesome if Autstin pans out. Come on Kenny P. Take that step and lets roll.

That's what bugs me abut him. How many times have we heard that about a guy going into his first year? Then he has a season ending injury and we hear how great he's doing and what he'll bring to the table, but we never see it.

Come to think of it, how many times has that happened in the NFL? I'm not talking guys that actually made it to the regular season then got knocked out. I'm talking guys that were the next best thing in OTA's/Camp etc. that were injured and then came back without any regular season time and became productive.

 

That’s why all this OTA stuff means very little. Let me see it on a field when the lights turn on. Hopefully the kid can stay healthy just not sure that’s possible with his diminutive size.
