    LoL :lolol:
Too funny....everything shows You one thing....yet You want it different so bad You just overlook what's real. Tomlin owned Andy Reid before P. Mahomes (IMO the easiest best Qb in the league). This is what is meant by facts over feelings. It's cool though My Friend. Each 2 their own.

By then our D...as I pointed out in another post had withered away, and last time We played Him our offense was old, and tired.

I would say 5-2 against Andy Reid without Mahomes....still states My case . Tomlin owned Andy Reid before He got.....not a great Qb, but the best right now in the league Patrick Mahomes.

    modern Era, please.

anyone here is clueless (football IQ CLUELESS) if you think Tomlin is a better HC than Reid. Tomlin's coaching tree does not exist. Let that soak in - log and hard. it's more of a coaching casket

I like STD but if he actually thinks M Tomlin is a better football coach than Andy Reid I mean it’s pointless.

Actually, DJ dropped TWO easy 3rd down passes to stall drives in the first half. To this day, I can’t understand why Mike Tomlin was smearing Vaseline on DJ’s hands…. I mean, talk about bad coaching!

    Here’s my list:

    1. Tom Brady (Bill Bellechick)
    2. Patrick Mahomes (Andy Reid)
    3. Joe Burrow (Zac Taylor)
    …..
    …..

That’s a bit tongue in cheek, but it’s hard to compare coaches with great franchise QBs to those without. Honestly, my #1 current coach is probably Kyle Shanahan. He has the 49’ers in Super Bowl contention regularly with average QBs. That’s quite a feat in today’s NFL.

I do think Mike Tomlin is a top 10 coach in the NFL. I wouldn’t rank him as high as #2, but I can’t name 10 better. My big problem with Tomlin is that his teams don’t handle prosperity well. I don’t know if he projects overconfidence in the locker room and gets them feeling cocky, but I suspect there’s an element of that, especially thinking back to the Jacksonville debacle when Tomlin was talking about the marquee matchup to come with the Pats. When the chips are down, there’s nobody better at motivating. But when things are going well, the wheels come off. You can see that looking back at just about any recent season. If Tomlin can learn from this experience and keep the team focused when they’re winning, a championship is well within reach.

The entire offense was just awful in the first half vs KC....They could not move the ball...They had only 44 offensive yards in the first half....But it was not a huge surprise since the offense were pathetic in the entire year in 2021,outside of the fourth quarter a comeback were needed and Ben was called the play!...They were 2 TD underdog for a reason in that game

It wouldn’t be Bill B. With all the cheating attached to his teams I wouldn’t want him anywhere near the Steelers. Noll would be rolling in his grave.

KP and this offense would have to improve about tenfold to think we are a championship caliber team.

There are 3 championship caliber teams in the AFC right now. The Chiefs, Bills and Bengals. I put the Steelers in the next group of teams like the Chargers and Ravens.

I would agree with that. I'm still not convinced we have a franchise QB. At the moment IMO we have a decent QB who has some good talent around him which will help his cause big time.

The following is not my opinion but what was said to me about Kenny Pickett. Last season I got excited watching the Steelers recover from a shaky as hell start to a pretty decent season all things considered especially with the QB situation. I told this to a few guys and their reply was Kenny snuck up on the league. Nobody knew him. Now that D coordinators have a chance to really prep for him, I'm going to find he is not the answer to Ben R. Not sure I fully understand that but believe I want to stick that comment in their face next January!!

Look at Kenny’s stats. Yes he was a rookie yes Canada is awful (he’s still here) the jury on KP is still way undecided. I liked his late game moxie I liked his clutch ability but anyone who says differently is wearing rose colored glasses. I’m a Pitt fan watched him now for 6 years. I think he could be a decent starter not sure if he’s a franchise guy.

Jets now have Rodgers like him or hate him that team is much better now. Dolphins looked dangerous until Tua got 12 concussions Denver I could see being better. All 3 of those teams have just as much a chance as we do. And the browns as much as we laugh at them are not a bad team if Watson being there all year can get him to bounce back?

    OK...probably, but let's break it down a minute .
    1. Rodgers couldn't even take the Packers to the playoffs in the NFCN last year....so He maybe falling off.
    2. Tua although a pretty good player hasn't played a full season since High School.
    3. Denver is farther away then a Qb(its why I won money on them last year)
    4. I have never thought Watson was all that, and the Browns are the Browns LoL.

Can’t disagree but could see all 4 of them as much in playoff contention as us.

Andy Reid’s specialty is offense, Tomlins is defense. So the 5-2 record I attribute more to Ben being better than Alex Smith than Tomlin being a better offensive strategist than Reid. That being said, I don’t know what kind of culture Reid creates. He seems to be doing better with Mahomes than Tomlin has with Ben the last decade. I would say our D overall was at least a little better than KC’s has been.

And I see Mahomes and Ben in the same class. another factor is Reid doesn’t have to deal with the Bill - Brady power like we did.

Maybe there isn’t a big difference between Reid and Tomlin. I will say one more thing, Tomlin’s been around 18 years, keeping a coach around too long tends to be counterproductive. I think we’re getting real close to that period of time where it might be time for a change.
