Let’s keep the focus of this thread on condolences for Clark and not dirty it up with a bunch of vax talk.

Are you serious? Pro football players haven’t been dying earlier than the average American for the last 80 years. Have you been living with your head in the sand? These guys played a very violent game which takes a toll on them physically and mentally and emotionally. But you think this is new and about vaccines? How stupid can you be and how low of a human are you to take the passing of a young man and turn it into this garbage debate?

And FYI, Haggans passing may have nothing to do with football because people die young every day, and they have been dying young every day since mankind first walked on earth.

Stay on point and take your politics somewhere other than the Steelers forum. Or bother your 3 friends with this nonsense.

The mods on this site need to wake up if they are letting the passing of a young man turn into a debate about vaccines. This isn’t the time or place and doing so completely and wholly disrespects Clark Haggans and his family. People need to be better than this, or they need to be policed if they can’t be better on their own.

Clark Haggans was not considered one of the greats of the Mid-2000s Steelers teams, let alone some of the all-time greats, but he was an underrated part of our 2005 Super Bowl Championship team. He was always about doing his job and was a professional on and off the field. 46 is way too young, like others have mentioned, prayers go out to his wife and kids and other loved ones he leaves behind.

As for how he passed away, how about we all wait until the official cause comes out before we make any more comments about it this way we don't jump to conclusions with divisive political assumptions?

I'll remember Clark Haggans most for giving James Harrison his nickname.
"They’re big, strong gorillas from the Congo, the silverback gorilla. They spend their days swinging on trees and breaking stuff. All the other apes and everyone in the jungle are afraid of him.” ~Clark Haggans

    Nothing is real.

Was a solid part of the 2005 season with 9 sacks and a strip sack in Super Bowl XL. One of three sacks in that game. Was a 5th round pick and a standout special teams player. Aaron Smith said he has one of the highest motors and work ethic. They let Jason Gildong leave and he was paired with Porter.

RIP to a true Super Bowl Champion. RIP Clark Haggans...

Not in Steeler Talk. There are so many other forums across the WWW that it is discussed. I think but not sure there was a thread in the Watercooler section but it could be many pages back.
