    Bradshaw's arm or Swann's leap?

The leap is impressive, but Bradshaw's accuracy was way off.

Both were pretty dang impressive! At first I thought Swann had gone over the top of the car but after watching the replay I realized it was the trunk. Going over the top would have been really impressive. Not to brag (well, maybe a little), but back in the day I could jump completely over the top of a Fiero (or similarly sized car). My friends used to dare me to do it all the time, lol. I never tried it with pads on though. Good memories of days gone by when I resembled an athlete. My athletic endeavors now consist of walking a few holes of golf.

LOL. Glad he was not injured but why was Art Sr. parking so close to the field? They probably got him thicker glasses after that.

The YouTube comments said that Chrysler parked the vehicles near the field for advertising. After Swann jumped over the trunk and slipped on the landing, they moved the cars.

I remember that as well. Bradshaw definitely had a gun for an arm. That one was a little off but the leap was really good!!!!

For some reason I always thought this whole car thing happened more than once. Maybe it was just the angle of which I saw it live?

Bradshaw had a ridiculously efficient throwing motion.

Both of them were very good athletes, best in class during their playing days. What most people dont know and rarely talk about was the canon that Bradshaw possessed. We were a running team and thats how he was looked at originally. He wasnt know for his passing or his arm, but once the Steelers starting airing it out to Swann, Stallworth, Grossman, Cunningham etc especially in Super Bowl XIV over the Rams. Bradshaw had a canon and if you watch the films, he did it with ease and a flick of the wrist. Simply put , he would throw seeds!!!

I read an article awhile back where Bradshaw credited his throwing motion to his prowess with a javelin in high school. He never gets the credit for the cannon he had, and it seemed so effortless for him.

I bought a cheap book written about Bradshaw way early in his career

It said the first time anyone actually noticed his potential was in high school when he overthrew a receiver

    By 72 yards

In April of 1966, Terry Bradshaw of Shreveport’s Woodlawn High broke the national record in the javelin throw four weeks in a row.

His hands are big enough he could put a finger in the top and throw it like a rocket
