    Only 28 years old

Last 4 seasons all over 1,100 yards rushing, 13 TDs, 17 Tds, 6 Tds, 10 TDs respectively rushing and receiving.

    Career average 4.7 YPC

Could be a great RB2 with Najee.

I'd be all for it if we didn't already have a cheaper RB2 option on the roster. Spend the money elsewhere to booster the roster. Not a bad thought tho.

The reason the Vikings are releasing him is he is due for a new contract for more money but has been used hard in his career like Elliott and Fournette and even Henry. The rb position has been devalued so much I doubt we see a Davis or AP in his prime again let alone an offense driven by them. Heck I thought Barkley was a franchise back the Giants could build around but now with the amount of abuse he has taken I wouldn't give him millions.

Crazy to see a player of his caliber hit the open market right now. We have a 0% shot of being players in this, but there are plenty of other teams that will consider it.

I was thinking that today, time was when you thought anything over 30 on a RB was a gamble, some of the guys you mentioned plus Kareem Hunt are under 28.

Honestly what shocked me at work today was how many Vikings fans were ready to be done with him which is odd because he doesn't seem to be a problem and they put up with way more from Peterson before they wold admit he needed to be gone. My guess is that he doesn't fit the new direction the coach is taking them in but Jefferson is going to suffer without a viable run game to take pressure off the coverage

I understand its a business, and while you might not get the production he has given you, with a decent line you can find enough backs to give you what you need..or that seems to be the general feeling. I know you can't pay 'em all, but RB's seem to get the short shaft.

And Warren will be a lot cheaper option than Cook.

You really think Cook is looking to go to a team to be their #2 RB , I would guess he's going to the Dolphins.

Najee only probably has another 2 or 3 good years. These guys shelf lives are very short. Hopefully we can make a run in 24 or 25.

Najee, 25, "only has 2 or 3 good years left". So let's sign the 27 year old.

Isn't Elliot, hunt, and other big names still out there? Has the RB position dropped off or is getting RB in the draft that easy now that you just draft.

Once you get past Harris and Warren the 3rd string back is Anthony McFarland. I would rather bring back Benny Snell, he's nothing flashy but he served his role well as 3rd team back and good special teams player.

Warren is a beast at #2 RB. Steelers don't need Cook.

I would like a veteran upgrade over Warren. I think Warren is a number 3 RB.

McFarland who I was really pulling for the last few years because of his speed, lost his job because he can't block. The one game he played in last year he had his shot looked good on a few running plays, and then completely missed a block and got Kenny killed on a play. Tomlin set him down and we never saw him again in the backfield.

Nope. With Warren, we don't need him. We are in good shape going into the 2023 season.

You thought McFarland would be something, but you don't think Warren is good enough to be a No. 2?

Warren is a very good number 2. I think our RB room is set

It is for now but if Harris or Warren are injured then having McFarland as the #2 RB isn't going to cut it. Maybe some of the guys behind him will shine in pre-season like Warren did last year.

How many teams go three deep on running backs? Not sure but I'm pretty sure it's not many. After your first two then it gets a little thin. We'll see how it works out
