Nobody had statistics like that in the 1970s and 1980s. Your take ignores the massive difference in the league then and now. Any comparison of those two that doesn't take into account the rule changes in 1978 and the massive changes in offensive philosophy and strategy from then until the time of Roethlisberger's career is absolutely worthless.

Those people are criminals, especially if it was Mineo's that they ruined in such a manner.

    As far as goes Brees....
    1. I have heard on here many times His coach is one of the best offensive minded coaches....shouldn't that factor in.
    2. He has played 70 percent of His games after being in NO inside. (I checked...there have been years He only played twice outside all year...Once in Tampa, and once in Carolina) If You don't think that makes a difference....

Thats a very valid point. Terry was a great QB during his time but early in his career he had a lot of ups and downs. He was surrounded with more talent than Ben ever was. No doubt had he played in bens era they probably would have been very similar. I always thought of Ben as kind of like Elway or Favre. I think Bradshaw fit the same mold. I just chose Ben over Bradshaw because outside of the SB edge Bradshaw has, Ben played much longer and had sustained success for a much longer time period than Terry did.

I Love Terry, and I'm pissed people are having Me talk bad about Him , but in His beginning years He was terrible. In yards, Tds, and Ints. Hell it took Him 5 years just to throw more tds than ints in that year....his 1st year to do so. I don't want to hear about different times.....plenty of Qbs during that time weren't doing that. Hell His 1st year Winning a SB was a horrible year for Him.....You talk about being dragged to a SB.... 785 yards ...7 tds, and 8 ints.....yes I know He was benched....because the year before He was 20th in yards 1183, and had 10 tds ,and 15 ints. So stop with this it was only because of the time crap. Other Qbs were doing fine....Terry was dragged to 2 SBs, and then got awesome. If Ben had done this they would have cut Him.

Montana is #1 to me. And not having Bradshaw is well...the excuse is he didn't throw it around enough the first 2 Super Bowls although in 75 his pass to Swann for 64 and a TD was the catalyst as well as the Glen Edwards pick. Swann won the MVP and had 161 yards on 4 receptions. Bradshaw did win back to back SB MVP's in 78 and 79. Plus he called his own plays. Oh and never lost a SB. 4 Super Bowls.

I’m thinking you have been away for a while

There are 4 Mineo’s now and at the least the one up near North Park is pretty mediocre now

I’m guessing a new generation is running it

    And they offer pineapple pizza

1.) Aaron Rodgers also has had a Offensive Minded Coach but does not come close to many of Drew's current records.

2.) Fair point. However, while true, this shouldn't minimize his tremendous consistency over time. For that matter, Peyton Mannings best Seasons were indoors but he never put up numbers like Drew did.... and Peyton basically called his own Offense suited towards him and his array of HOF level Weapons.

Fair point to the stats. However, what cannot be debated is how dominant a player was in comparison to their peers. For that matter, stats don't always tell the whole story; Troy Polamalu being a prime example of this.

Farve's absolute reckless abandon for making something out of nothing is what made him such a force in his prime; three NFL MVPs to his credit. Coach or not, Brett's devil may care attitude towards every passing play meant opponents had no choice but to account for the unexpected for Farve was that unpredictable.

Regarding Brees?! Nothing about him on the surface screams impressive.... until you look at how ridiculously consistent he was. Consecutive 5k yard seasons is nothing to scoff at; area of productivity bring a factor or not. However, it is not the mere stats that set Brees apart from others but how efficient he was in obtaining such consistent performance on a year to year basis. That is what makes Brees so damn special; tremendous consistent play year after year with little to no drop-off.

This all may sound like I am Ben hating; I am not. As I have stated multiple times before; good luck finding another monstrously athletic QB with a mentality that is essentially "Eff Around and Find Out" like Big Ben. However, unlike Farve and Brees, Big Ben falls short in one critical area; consistency. There were games in which Big Ben looked like the best QB in all of Football... and then there were games where one would wonder what the hell happened. Sadly... there was no middle ground for Big Ben and that is a major factor as to why I am very hesitant placing him in the Top 10.

To be in the Top 10, consistency at an elite level must be ordinary and not extraordinary. Big Ben was extraordinary at critical points but not nearly as consistent as I would have liked or hoped for.

My dad would always drive to the Sunrise Inn in Warren, Ohio to get his anchovie pizza. I tried it but like you I thought that it was awful.

Ben isn't a top 10 all time QB. Ben is a top 15 to 20 all time QB. Ben could had been in the debate for a top 5 all time QB if.....

I agree Ben wasn’t always consistent. I believe that was a result of him probably not comparing like the other QB’s and just going off of talent. But at the end of the day the only thing that matters is Winning %. He has the other QB’s beat inn that category. That is the one thing I think we are gong to see completely differently with Kenny Picket. He is really a polar opposite of Ben in a lot of ways. I think his two biggest attributes are going to be his work ethic and his consistency.

As a physical specimen Ben is one of the best ever.

In his first year he's running around playing backyard ball throwing blitzes off him. I've never seen any other QBs do that.

He's a top 10 of all time to be sure. To put them in order would be difficult.

Marino threw absolutely perfect footballs. Joe Montana just won. It helps having Jerry Rice to throw to but I remember him leading a comeback with the Chiefs and remember well he's Joe Montana

Ben played poorly in a lot of playoff games. Bradshaw could carry his team on his shoulders and made big play after big play in the playoffs and the superbowl. There is no comparison between the two. Bradsahw was the better QB
