    RE: Markus Golden
This guy is tough to figure, he's had 3 seasons with 11, 12, and 10 sacks.
But then there's barely visible and injured seasons.

I like the fact he is 6'3" ~260lbs. ( I think in general, the Steelers are a bigger team this year)

So, he can get to the QB and he most definitely can produce stuffs and seems to create some fumbles.
I hope, by using him in a rotation and keeping TJ and himself fresh, pays off.
The one-year deal is good, and I'd say the Defense looks like it is built to pressure more.

Are you saying Green is going to beat out Dotson for a Backup Guard spot?

The loser of this Battle probably does not make the final 53 man roster. Do they keep 8 or 9 lineman on the roster?

I was disappointed with this signing as I was looking forward to seeing what Herbig could do in the OLB rotation.

I still don't want to see Golden have to drop back into Pass Coverage. :)

I completely missed the Chandon Sullivan signing. (Getting 1st team reps at OTAs in the slot)

    Herbig is a rookie.
He will get his chance though.
Lots of competition coming up when the pads are on.

Steeelers sign undrafted rookie, he's 25. I think he played 7 years of college football.

    Cody Chrest WR Houston
    6-1 200 lbs
    4.38 forty

Talk about your experience as a student. What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
I obtained my undergraduate degree after spending 4 years at Harvard. During my time there, I was also part of 2 finance groups (Harvard Investment Association and the Harvard Financial Analysts Club). I transferred to Sam Houston in the fall of 2020. I recently earned my Master’s in Business Administration.

8 1/2. Green is small for a lineman, so he counts as half.

Actually he’s average height compared to the other guards and centers and there are only 3 OL that way more

I read something great the other day by a commenter in a Steelers article that has probably been discussed here and maybe I missed it.

4 of the new Steelers free agent vets that they signed this off-season were captains on their former teams. I think that’s huge.

Peterson and all three of the MLB’s.

This is just another huge feather in the front offices caps!

I don't know if I believe that......,but I never believed forsure the other way either.....like some on here were trying to sell it. Nobody really knows who the Hell the Jets wanted. They just pretend they do.

Well I read this morning that MR had interest from other teams, but nothing could get done before OTA's, so he decided to come back for the minimum. As usual if you read it on social media it has to be true. lol

I think he'll look to a SB favorite to try and win one.

DeAndre Hopkins cut loose by Cardinals as team absorbs $22.6m dead cap hit

Arizona made the move three seasons after acquiring Hopkins in a blockbuster trade with Houston and eventually signing him to a $54.5m contract extension through 2024. The soon-to-be 31-year-old Hopkins would have counted close to $31m against the cap this season.

His cap hit in dead money is $22.6m. The good news for the Cardinals is he’ll be off the books for 2024, when the team figures to be more competitive.

Especially at that point, after the draft and into desperation FA period, lol. His agent may have had some calls, but I imagine it was the same offer he got from the Steelers, might as well make the bucks without breaking a sweat and having to study a new O.
