Yeah, but Haden was like five years younger when they signed him, I hope Peterson has something left in the tank.

i think each situation can be different. some wr's help qb's and some qb's help receivers. kind of a two way street. heck megatron only had to have the ball near him within a 40 foot radius. pretty easy for a qb. some qb's know where to put the ball on the receiver but that receiver also has to know how to get to that point before the qb is sacked. there are so many variables. bottom line the top tier wr's and qb's help each other. a good qb can only do so much for a marginal wr. and visa versa.

This is why I said 97%...., and not 100%. You always have outliers....., but I will still stand by 97% of Wrs are made by Qbs. Hell a person can just go look up history, and see this.

i don't know if it's that high but probably close percentage wise. there are also a few receivers that can do things others just cant.

nice article on how they go about coaching different players. everything is not a one size fits all.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nf...1&cvid=ced83228b10542ebbe5b28acd4aefec0&ei=20

too much blame on coaches not coaching up players, when it's probably the players not quickly grasping what is being coached. you can coach a guy in practice to rep a new way, but when the pads go on and the ball is snapped, they react more and can go back to what they were doing and not what they want them to be doing. in other words they have to coach it out first to coach it in second. times how many players on each side of the ball that might be involved in the play at any given time. pretty easy to just say this coach sucks, when in reality he doesn't. cerebral players help this process.

If he gets 5 TD's that is a bargaining chip, I mean how many players improve 500 % in a season?

Well, KFP said on Ben's podcast that he loves to throw the comeback or hook route to the outside.
This explains no throws to the middle of the field, YAC, and apparently Pickens can't run this kind of route.
Sry to plagiarize Heinz Mustard but

They seemed to throw to the MOF near the end of the season, Sims made that catch to get a first down late against the Ravens IIRC, also Freiermuth had some MOF receptions.

    So....

The Plan for Leal is to basically play as a disruptor then?! I do understand that the NFL is becoming more and more about personnel than formation but hopefully Mike Tomlin and Teryl Austin have a cognizant plan this time around. Outside of Trayvon Walker and maybe John Franklin Myers of the New York Jets, as it stands currently... there is not many "Tweener IDLs" in the NFL. That said, as far as having a true multi role pass rushing threat is concerned, Trayvon Walker is essentially the standard as he can line up anywhere along the Defensive Line with the exceptions of the zero and one tech.

With the exception of possibly Josh Allen, I doubt we are seeing a "Big Ben" again. As far as Freak Level Qbs are concerned, Big Ben definitely belongs on any list. Being able to shake of 300+ pound lineman like they are nothing borders on the path of illogical.

Damn straight. Could never figure out how he was so elusive. He was not exactly quick on his feet. Even when you look at his size his ability to dodge defenders was nothing short of miraculous. KFP is faster then Ben so I expect him to take off every now and again to gain yards. Hopefully though he is not running for his life. I was very concerned by the amount of concussions he had as a rookie. His protection sucked.. Seems like it will improve.

Ben was the first quarterback I remember seeing look back as he was being chased. Seems like a small detail but that takes a good deal of field awareness to look back and then downfield again to find an open receiver.

You appreciate how huge Ben was when seeing Kenny out there, he just looks small after watching Ben for nearly 20 years.

This....but I believe Fran Tarkenton did that some, and Steve McNair also, but they are the only ones I can think of.

If Trice can stay healthy he could be the steal of the draft landing him in the 7th round. He and Porter Jr. are both 6'3" speedy corners who could lock down the corners for years to come.
